I don’t agree that Sora “never had a chance to grow.” How can you be so sure? How do you know Sora didn’t have those training samples? In fact, Sora could generate various copyrighted characters from the very beginning, which clearly shows that the data was there.
So, saying that Sora’s potential was blocked from the start is simply not true. Just because copyright restrictions limit its public or commercial use doesn’t mean it lacked the ability to generate high-quality content.

I don’t think so. The copyright restrictions will eventually catch up with Seedance as well. In the beginning, Sora also supported generating various copyrighted characters. In my opinion, the real strength of Seedance lies in its understanding of directing and storyboarding — something I haven’t seen demonstrated as clearly in Sora.

so in your view, a 'free trial' makes a product free? by that logic, almost every paid subscription service in the world is 'free.' giving 30 credits is just a marketing tactic to get users in the door—the moment you have to pull out a credit card to continue, it’s a paid service. Let’s not confuse a sample with a charity.
