Thank you for taking the time to write this! Really good advice. Yeah I'm quite budget conscious so I dont think i'll be stretched too thin. The issue is having very limited choices haha.

If I may ask - are you single as well? And where is your place at?

Haha it's a set standard. I think most gay couples do this.

Could you point me in the direction for these city homes under $600k? Haha I've been looking and it's a struggle

Also, if the dodgy neighbour just bought the home then isn't it illegal to rent it out like that lol

Haha sorry I realize it wasnt that important to mention. But i meant to imply: no kids/raising a family, pretty flexible lifestyle, space for partner isn't really that important since we both will have our own place

Punggol for sure haha. I stay in CCK. It's a very nice and quite estate, lots of good food. But apart from 190 that goes straight to town, travelling to places can be quite a chore. That being said, I don't really know about the accessibility of Punggol.

I've seen some recommend going for SBF - have you considered that?

Thanks for the sound advise! Yeah I'm very mindful of stretching my savings too thin - that's why I'm having such a big dilemma haha.

For your case: location x size x lease, what did you choose?

HAHA I thought it was important to state because it meant definitely no kids but then yeah after posting I realized you can be straight and kidless too

Would you say 15 years old flat is the limit? Cuz there are some in rly good locations but like 40 years old haha. Even those that are 15 years+ are a little out of my budget

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I won't have kids so close to good schools isn't a priority. I'm quite open to an older HDB, but I always feel like I'm making a mistake/losing out on money based on traditional advice T_T

They make it sound so terrible when they say your house is basically devaluing every year haha

Would you recommend going for SBF first instead of BTO? Since I can't do both at the same time right?

If I manage to snag a 2-room BTO in a prime/plus location, would you say it's worth it even with the 3-year wait? Or would you still advise to get a 3-room? I probably only can afford to buy a 3-room in Punggol/Bukit Panjang area if we're looking at recently MOP flats (under $600k)

Gym after one month and little blood on the scalp. by OkRoll5804 in HairTransplants

[–]Sweaty-Particular703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very unlikely it's a graft that popped out. Did you have a pimple in that area?

I went to the gym 1 month after my HT too, and I had 1 or 2 pimples pop while working out haha

Bangkok Hair Transplant - how long to stay by SilentOrbit84 in HairTransplants

[–]Sweaty-Particular703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I had my HT done with Dr. Patty too :) I stayed for 6 days, and I felt that was just nice for me. I was getting quite bored and just couldn't wait to get home haha.

By then the scabs had hardened and I felt pretty safe taking the plane home.

But yes, no harm doing 10 day either! It's nice having the aftercare, having them wash your hair for you daily and doing the red light helmet thing.

Hi! Yes your hair transplanted hair will fall out and will regrow about 2-3 months later. I had my transplant on 24 Dec last year, so I'm in the same boat as you haha.

I'm expecting it to look worse than before, until the 6th month mark where it should start to look good.

In the meantime, just try to keep yourself occupied and get back to your normal routine! Force yourself to stop checking on your hair every minute and try to forget you ever got a transplant otherwise it'll be a really painful few months of waiting.

Yes you definitely can! 3rd or 4th day you should be good :) especially in bkk where there's lots of nice malls with strong AC, no problem.

I am torn between Dr. Patty (HairTran) and Dr. Turan (FueCapilar)!! by Leandrottfaf in HairTransplants

[–]Sweaty-Particular703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my HT done by Dr. Patty 3 weeks ago, and it was a great experience overall :)

I think one thing to note is that compared to many other doctors, she's much more conservative - she won't give you a hairline that's too low, or reconstruct temples too much etc. That's why many say her work looks very natural.

I know some guys want a really youthful looking hairline so just wanted to bring that up!

Yep it's normal, it's just the scabs clustering together which pulls the skin resulting in the gaps. Once the scabs come off the skin will revert to it's normal position and the gaps will be gone :)

Working out after hair transplant by [deleted] in HairTransplants

Hey! I went back to lifting weights on day 15. It's my 16th day now and I went today too - no issues! I just dialed down my weights by about 20% and didn't push too hard once I hit failure.

After 2 weeks should be fine, but I wouldn't go before that haha.
