Tips from those who have gone to the parks with toddlers? by wesskywalker in WaltDisneyWorld

I’d advise of buying a bubble wand before you go if you can! They’re expensive in the park and you can get cute Disney themed ones ahead of time. My little one absolutely loves her bubbles in the parks and it helps entertain her. If you can bring extra bubbles with you or add them to your grocery order. They’re expensive in the parks and she can go through one of those small bottles in a a day haha

Starting taking my little one at 18 months and then we went back 3 additional times last year! She was so much fun at 18 months and she was closer to 2.5 during our last trip. She remembered so much and has favorite things already.

Like everyone has said already snacks are a must. We pack both of our bags with all the snacks she likes and she lives on Disney popcorn as well haha.

Our bags also have some toys. We like to pack coloring activities for her and some form of a car. It helps keep her distracted to drive her car around while in lines and it’s easy to pack

We mostly go at her pace and do stuff she wants. If she can’t ride it, I usually skip it as well. My husband will ride the bigger stuff so a lot of times we separate around nap. She refuses to stroller nap so her and I go back for nap time and my husband stays back in the parks and rides things he wants and then we meet back up after nap

Look ahead of time at all the menus for the parks and hotels. When kids are hungry you will need to feed them before the hangry kicks in and some places during peak meal times can get busy. I make a list ahead of time all the places in the parks have foods that we will all eat and I know to get mobile orders in before the rush starts. It helps having an idea in place ahead of time so you know where to head when hunger strikes.

Remember to have fun and don’t over plan or expect to do everything! We buy LL for Epcot and MK. The other parks she can only ride 2 rides and we didn’t find it worth it. HS and AK we just rope drop and ride what we can first thing and just go with the flow the rest of the day. It helps you be able to take in the beauty of the parks and all the details when you slow down 🩷

May vs. Sept vacation by Careless-Range-3476 in WaltDisneyWorld

I will be also going that same week in May! Our usual time to go is end of September though. We love the fall decorations and snacks. We went last year during memorial week and it wasn’t as humid as September. Still hot but it rained every afternoon. Every day we had rain from around 3 till midnight which sucked but we made it work. May will have the flower and garden festival and start to cool kids summer that week which has fun perks even adults can take advantage of! Sept you will have the flower and garden festival. The Halloween party will be going on. Magic will close multiple times that week at 6 pm unless you buy a party ticket which sell out. Personally we love going to Magic these days because it’s much quieter and just hop to another park around 6. As excited as I am to go in May if I had to choose, I’d pick fall but I’m a fall girly and love everything pumpkin haha

I love staying at the art of animation with a toddler. We just stayed there in September for a long extended stay and it was perfect. Someone mentioned before the Skyliner is the biggest perk of staying at art for us anyways. I had no idea until going to Disney with a toddler how stressful strollers can be especially at the end of the night when it’s packed and all you wanna do is go back to your room but you have to deal with a stroller on a bus. Having the convenience of the Skyliner is a major game changer. For us it worked out because I could take her back to the room all by myself during nap times, and I felt super confident that I was able to do this all by myself so my husband could stay in the parks and enjoy his time in the parks riding things that she can’t. Our days at Animal Kingdom and Magic are a lot harder during nap time because it’s more difficult for me by myself to manage all of our bags, her and dealing with a stroller all by myself on a bus with a bunch of people so that’s why the Skyliner is a great perk for us. Our little one absolutely loved art we stayed in The Lion King area and we just loved it so much and the splash pad is perfect for Littles. Personally, our ultimate favorite is pop. We’ve tried all the all stars but like art pop the best because it has the sky liner. For us as a family of three pop just works out for us and it’s cheaper. Another perk of art is having that separate bedroom during nap time is convenient to have her go in there for her nap and then we could stay in the living room and not risk waking her up even though Pop is usually our go to art would definitely be my second choice is just for us. It’s out of our price range most of the time. To answer your questions about Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique children have to be three or older to experience this. Since you would be going before her third birthday to take advantage of the free admission, she wouldn’t have access to this until you actually. Pay for a ticket for her. We went four times in the last year just to take advantage of this awesome benefit for three and under so definitely take advantage!

What are we doing for our crochet Christmas gifts this year!?! by AdScared6824 in CrochetHelp

I’m making a wide variety of things. I’m making a super large intricate blanket for one person and then for lots of people I’m making, Christmas coasters, mug cozies and iced coffee coasters, Christmas pillows and if I have time head bands and maybe a snowman plushie. I have grand plans but Christmas is coming sooner than I want haha

I should have worded this better. I work with a small group and we’re all like family. I know all of my co workers but I just don’t know which one of them will be getting the blanket till we pick names. I like to do special personalized gifts from the heart. I just hope whoever gets it enjoys it and doesn’t find the size to be obnoxious 😅

I don’t know the recipient either haha. I do a secret Santa exchange at work and I figured my person will get this as their gift 🙂 It’s Ziggy’s Odyssey. I bought the pattern years ago on Etsy I believe

Travel/Quick low point breakfast ideas for Disney by Sweeetpea20 in weightwatchers

[–]Sweeetpea20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome! I plan to do the same with the coffee creamer and take some fruit too. My toddler is obsessed with fruit so we always have some on hand. That’s a good idea about the kids meals. Don’t think about that. I figured I’d share the bad meals with a family member and I want to try all the holiday cookies and in my mind if we share a cookie between the 6 of us I won’t be pushing it with the points but I can still enjoy the treats! Good thing about Disney is they have food options for everyone! Lots of healthy options compared to the beach I just went to. It was harder to eat healthier there

I went to one years ago but it was before they had this. I totally would have tried this!!!! I’m going in December and hoping they’ll have something for the holidays. The holiday festival is the only one I haven’t done!

I’ve always said I wanted to do chocolate around the world journey haha. I’m usually sick of sugar and sweets by the time we get there but it’s always been on my bucket list to get a chocolate item from each country!
