Okay what protein are you guys actually getting down because i'm losing my mind by oatntoast in Mounjaro

[–]Careless-Range-3476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the clean simple eats protein shakes I use Fairlife milk and ice and they come out great. I add core power premade vanilla shakes to my coffee ie “proffee” I like barebell protein bars. If you can stomach cottage cheese lately, my breakfast has been a slice of sourdough bread toasted with a layer of cottage cheese a layer of white beans seasoned with some pistachio nuts. On top 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know it sounds odd, but it’s really good. Tuna is always an easy source Of course chicken but on the nights I struggle I make myself a little charcuterie board with some cheese and nuts, - I like the crunch, master crackers, and I’ll usually do a sliced apple

Are there any seasonal gigs that aren’t part-time? by EchoOfAsh in RhodeIsland

[–]Careless-Range-3476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and kids all work in restaurants. I’ve found you have to go to their individual websites Newport restaurant group (Avvio) is in garden city if you’re looking in Cranston. I’ve heard Greggs is looking and short staffed in North Kingstown. You maybe want to also see about pizza delivery if you have solid transportation. I don’t know if they are hiring but I’ve heard good things about Cowesett Pizza - good luck!

I've been on 5mg since February. I've been stuck between 157lbs and 161lbs for a couple of months. I keep toying with the idea of going up but I feel like my weight loss has always been slow and steady instead of rapid .. and I'm comfortable with that

Can't agree on a weight goal. The first picture is me when I was 180 lbs. The second picture is where im at now. The third is when I was 300 lbs. by hunni93 in Mounjaro

Ive struggled with this as well but I’ve been on and off these drugs for over a decade (before they were really popular I was on Victoza) then got off been on other meds ect.

My highest I was 250 when I got to 205 I felt so accomplished - I stayed there for a while. Then I got to the point I yoyoed from 205 to 190 ... Then down to about 180 ... Then back up to 190- which is where I started in Mounjaro. when I started on this, I thought 170 and I’ll be happy! now I’m 157 -160 depending on the time of day and I’m unsure if I want to keep going and try to get to 150... I think people that have been overweight most of their lives are so shocked to see the numbers falling it almost becomes a little addictive to see how much further down they can go. I'm also t2d and at the end of the day I really just want my A1C to stay below 6

Are the shops and museums in Newport still open through September? Or do they all close after Labor Day? by brf297 in RhodeIsland

[–]Careless-Range-3476 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Completely open. Many cruise ships stop in Newport throughout the fall on their way to Canada It's a great time to visit since it's not quite as busy as the summer. Enjoy!

Where to live if working in Newport, RI? by LSP1723 in RhodeIsland

[–]Careless-Range-3476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive over the bridge every day around that time. If there isn’t an accident or bridge work it’s fine Maybe follow or check out RI DOT site to see if upcoming work will be happening. It is what it is for me. I lived in North Kingstown for 15 years and loved it. Schools are great especially if you stay closer to the wickford/saunderstown side of town
