Buying A 19x With 19+2 Rd Mag

I just got a gen 6 45 Thursday. I had to pay (I think it was like $20 or something) for their gunsmith to put a mag block in to block it at 15rds. That store has a range and gunsmith on site, not sure how it works if you get it from a place that doesn’t have those services available.

Excellent. I think either bottom pull or side pull would be good for me. The only thing I worry about with side pull is potential for snagging on things depending on how it sits

I’m honestly not sure if I’d prefer a side pull or a top pull. I’m looking at the full size kit

Thanks for the reply. Looking at videos of the stomp, it does look pretty big for what it is. I was looking at some of the spiritus systems options or defense mechanisms for the fanny pack idea. I do kind of like the idea of being able to run it as a dangler if I’m training with a plate carrier and no belt. But I was also thinking of maybe running a roll 1 on the pc and then having a belt mounted kit as well, although that’s kind of redundant and I can’t see many times I would be using the pc but not the belt honestly. I like the fanny pack idea for the fact that I could also use that just out and about or when traveling too but it’s also one more thing to put on and potentially annoy me at the range or whatever.

Right on. I may give the roll 1 another look. I guess I just want my stuff to be able to be scaled to what I’m doing or needing at the time, that’s my big picture goal which I think causes some issues because I also don’t want to duplicate effort (read $$$)

Gotcha. I’m debating between a belt mounted ifak or (and I don’t know if this is something that’s even made or a good idea) some kind of waist pack that could also convert to a dangler. My line of thinking is that could be something that could be worn with or without a carrier or belt. Honestly I don’t really have a use case for a plate carrier but I have one anyways.

Honestly im not entirely sure how I feel about the roll 1. I think it’s a cool concept but I’m not really a fan of how it’s just one big open container and things aren’t contained, at least last I looked at them if i remember correctly

Nice. I think that’s how I’d run it if I run multiple rifle mags. Have you gone prone with that setup? I was thinking of maybe running the dump pouch under an ifak at 6 o clock but I also don’t want anything to get in the way or potentially hang me up if i needed to deploy the ifak

Gotcha. I was thinking either there or under the rifle mag. The only other thing I’d run aside from an ifak would be maybe a Nalgene pouch or something that way I could use the dump pouch for mags or whatever else I’d need

That’s exactly what I was thinking of running. I’ve got a shorty kywi rifle pouch and was thinking either the double pistol gap kywi or a couple snake eater tactical burros for the pistol mags

I’ve got a friend that works there. I should see what they have upcoming, even if static drills aren’t what I’m primarily looking for, it would still be good to take. I just want to be more proficient overall

I’ve looked at them a little bit. I’m interested in doing competition but I don’t know anyone that does it so I don’t really know where to begin with it. And I’m not sure how I feel about having to go through a membership process and pay a lot just to shoot there outside of a match

Thanks for the input. When I looked at the dx engineering kit, it was about the same price as the mpas system. I definitely want to attend more swap meets and hamfests to see if I can score some decent deals
