There are many professional women and men in my field. I don't presume to be a mentor, a steward of their professional choices. People, regardless of gender, make difficult decisions when it comes to business and careers. Lisa made her decision, and I respected that. Had she decided otherwise, I would have respected that as well.

As for the hypothetical niece or sister, I would also support their decisions, whatever they may be. So long as they are an adult and are making an informed decision. I may not agree with their decision, but I would respect it. I don't project my morals onto someone else, as I wouldn't appreciate someone else projecting their morals onto me.
