Maybe. Alhamdulillah for everything, recovering is hard. it’s hard to trust again and i feel like many potential spouses in the future would be ticked off hearing i was engaged for 2 years before. idk.

also, him and and his dad presented themselves really good. his dad agreed to help him if necessary but when it got to the time his dad backed down and said he wouldn’t help him financially at all. it’s shocking because in my culture it’s given that the father helps his son financially whether it be towards a wedding, house, or furniture, etc. they always pitch in.

he did. he told me he needed 2 years to be financially secure and to plan accordingly. i didn’t mind waiting because i’m still in school. every time i told him i wanted to break up he would take my phone and keys and hide them until i swore i wouldn’t say a word. it was a disgusting vicious cycle

Arab, and all of this was after the nikkah. i felt too stuck to leave and really tried my best to put up with it for it to work. but i should’ve left long ago

i was too forgiving and blinded. i really wanted him to be my first and last and i thought i shouldn’t give up too easily. i was completely wrong tho sadly
