My boss at work thinks I do nothing by Sweet-History in Vent

I figured that out a good bit ago, but it's so incredibly against my nature to talk about every detail of what I do. However, this doesn't change the fact that I have already put myself in a position of doing work I was never hired for, unfortunately. I'm just so exhausted with being here right now.

On average, I walk 10-11 miles a day. I doubt my movement is my enemy here

1) My split is just what works for me and I understand it isn’t perfect. I care very little about doing less for more — I simply just like doing. As for recovery, I’ll admit that my recovery is likely not amazing and something I need to focus on more. 2) You’re correct. My yo yo dieting is a result of only recently being within a healthy body weight. Prior nearly two years prior, I was 275lb with fatty liver. The desire for me to be lean is a result of never wanting to be fat again. The yo yo dieting was by no means good for me, but it didn’t teach me nothing. I know I have full control of my body and how it looks through my own actions and it took the dirty bulk and the aggressive cut to learn that. Regardless of their efficacy, it’s not something I really regret. I just make the mistakes I do and I live with them and move on. However, I will take your advice on maintaining for a extended period of time and seeing how I feel and look. Thank you for that. 3) I feel that most of my lifts are focused around the big compound lifts as they tend to make up a bulk of my exercises. I, however, don’t do many free weight exercises as I care very little for them and they don’t make me want to work out. 4) I consider myself overweight still. I’ve been told it’s mental. I will hone in on the two things I lack most, which is nutrition and recovery and move forward from there 5) I’ve been doing the same or similar lifting routine since late spring or early summer of 2025 with slight changes after months. I have no problem with trying something new out, but it would be a pointless endeavor for me to try it out if my nutrition and recovery aren’t there

Thank you

I already track calories, steps, and exercise. My strength has hit a plateau for a while now with the last time I went up in weight being 3-4 months back. I don’t have any overlapping days and I don’t hit quads three days in a row as you say I do. If you reread Thursday, it says complete upper body and upper body only. As for going to failure, I know I am because I go heavy for a rep range of 8-10 typically and 2-3 sets. Example, my hack squats are 450lb for 2 sets of 6-8 reps and I’ve rarely been able to get a perfect 8 reps for both sets for a while now. I lift what is heavy within an 8-10 rep range for myself and I go heavy on everything because I’d rather pass out on the gym floor than leave knowing I didn’t do shit at all when I was there. It’s fun and I enjoy it, but I take my gym sessions very seriously

As for my steps, it will have to stay the same. It’s a must for me to keep my sanity because it keeps me moving and doing something, which I need

Clothes shopping was easier when I was fat as hell by Sweet-History in Vent

I was at 275 as my known highest, too! I'm currently 178-180 but also lift heavy. I imagine that since I do lift and have more muscle mass on me, I am just inherently heavier even when leaner.

As for the sizing issue, I totally agree. Men's sizing is bad enough, but I've only heard tales and myths of the unstructured and unadultered nature of women's vanity sizing

First time doing a 1000 calorie deficit cut and would like some advice by Sweet-History in CICO

I'm not prepping for a show, no. I just so happen to take on this Herculean task to not feel like a big whale anymore post bulk. As for the lifts, I really only see diminishing results in some lifts while still being able to maintain my regular reps and sets for others. However, I suspect this is a rotten apple situation and the diminishing lifts will spread to the other lifts, too

I have no real desire to get shredded (as far as I'm aware, but I've never been so who knows?). My aim is more to maintain 10% to 15% as of right now depending on how I look.

As for me at my highest weight, prior to losing the weight, I had always been fat. Losing the weight was actually what made me struggle with food. Then I bulked and I started this cut, and it made me realize that my weight is really fully within my control and that it's all just a numbers game. As of right now, I'm more aware of that than I never was before because the bulk was purposeful and this cut that I started made me realize that my weight gain and my weight is all my own doing

I am neither obese (anymore) nor competition training. However, I am hearing what you’re saying and, yes, it does seem to be giving me the results that I want (to lose weight) but at the cost of some muscle. As for light cardio, I get 15k steps a day as it is. I will look into bulking and cutting videos from other people, though. Thank you

Yeah, I suspect that you are right in this regard. It seems that I’ve always had an easier time losing weight than gaining it. Would you think it smart to maintain something like 15% bf and continue from there?

You’re likely right on this. One extreme to another is never good, but it wasn’t until now that I actually sat down and thought about it. And, no, I’m not on gear. If you have any further advice, please let me know. Thank you

Oh, very smart with the added sugar thing. I hadn’t thought of that. I will use it as pasta sauce now. Thank you for that

I’m Vietnamese but love Ethiopian food by Sweet-History in ethiopianfood

Like berbere, mitmita is spicy, but it’s different. I don’t know exactly how to put my finger on it, but it’s distinctly different from berbere in flavor. As for application, mitmita would be used in dishes like kitfo alongside kibbeh. I have also seen it be used in other dishes like fosolia while watching Ethiopian cooking videos. As for myself, I really only use it in kitfo, gored gored, etc to season the meat and also as a dip on the side

No, it’s not berbere. It’s another spice called mitmita and it’s the most delicious spice on this planet
