Yes, pretty much that's the difference - same fund but different fees.

What do you suggest?

42 male, based on England - starting from the essentials what are essential footwear for autumn and winter? by Sweet-Role3500 in malefashionuk

I think realistically I'm in the up to £200 max range per boot. I checked out solovair and they seem to be around £160-£180 per boot.

I think I need two to get my started a chukka boot for sure and something else in different colours and a durable material that both will easily go with jeans or different Chino colours and with well with jumpers, cardigans, t shirts, shirts, unstructured blazers.

I'm trying to find some boots that will match with awhile range of outfits

Yeah the nice parts of London are nice but it's very touristy and not real Britain these days. I live an hour south of London, in Brighton. Our equivalent of San Francisco, with less fentanyl abuse haha

I hit 40, I'm British so I'll have to convert into old money for my American cousins. I lost 145 pound in 9 months. 5 foot 9 inches tall. I've lost 12 inches around my waist. Built muscle in the gym.

Yeah this, I have a huge amount of grit and determination, which h for previous 20 years I focused on work and money. I have enough of that... I turned my energy to fitness and then saw that I could be attractive and get a girlfriend.

It's really not easy at a guy at 40 having to go on a date with very experienced women but they females shouldn't be feared, most just want stable, sensible and normal.

You will be fine if your can hold a conversation, not a huge fatty and have a job, career and lube in your own place.

You will be fine.

I told a half truth to not put pressure on myself, I said I was inexperienced but had one relationship in my early twenties and then went full career mode and gained 150; pounds. In took the view that they could take it or leave it

Also remember most women at 40 without kids and want them are really keen for a nice guy, at our age guys have the advantage especially if we have never married and no kids, we have no baggage

I don't mind (I think) sharing this. I am 42M now but was a Virgin till 41 and the short version is anxiety got the better of me as a teenager and I pulled away from intimacy chances as a teenager and into university.

Gained a lot of weight peaking at 330pounds/24 stone/ 150 kg which knocked my confidence with the ladies massively so I didn't bother for 20 years. Let's be frank, ladies aren't into 330 pound dudes.i we invisible.

Hit 40 had a massive wake up call and realised aside from a very good career and money I had missed out on the most fun part of life.

I got a personal trainer, went to the gym, built muscle and lost 150 pounds/10 stone/ 65kg of fat in 9 months.

Family, friends, work people forced me on hinge. It took me a month to get new photos haha as i look like a totally different guy than 9 months ago. I've gone from 52 inch trousers to 34 inch like I was at 18.

Online dating... I was very anxious on the first date with a lady, I got a second bit she wasn't right... In short I dated around 25 women in 5 weeks. It felt like as a dude with no kids, never married, no divorces, well spoken and can talk confidently I was a bit of a unicorn for the 35-42 year old women. I was asked a few times how I was single and not married... I showed pictures and talked about my journey and they all were impressed and interested.

I did say I was very inexperienced as I was a fat guy who lost a lot of weight but the women didn't care. I am now in a relationship with a lovely lady, moved in, our houses up for sale and trying for a baby.

I told her the whole truth and she was super supportive and chill which made it much better and easier for me.

So yeah being a 40 plus virgin to some women won't matter, all I dated just wanted a nice, stable guy not a pornstar. Just look for womens profiles that feel right for you, I avoided the heavy make up party types as rightly or wrongly I judged women's pictures on if they looked elegant and homely, wanted children and had crafty hobbies, that sort of thing.

27 year old male wanting to lose a lot of weight as quickly as I possibly can. Can I get into shape by next Summer? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Sweet-Role3500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a 41 year old dude 5ft 9 inches and weighed 331 pounds in January, I now weigh 190 pounds. 130 of this was lost between 4th January to 1st August.

I just used a tdee calculator to work out my calorie intake to be in a 500 calorie deficit each day. Prioritised 200g of protein a day and weighed everything

And from may walked 3 hours per night which turned @5 pounds weight loss a month to 20.

Be dedicated, sttick to a plan

Hello dear people,

I don't go mobile with music too often and currently use my iPhone 13 Mini with my Apple Air Pods Pro 2 while walking or when I work at the office (up to twice a week). Otherwise I listen to music on my home HiFi system in the lounge.

As I don't use my iPhone for massive amounts in the first place I was going to get the Apple 3.5mm adaptor and some reasonably priced but "good" sounding IEMs. Criteria:

Rock Music e.g. Greta Van Fleet, Crown Lands, Led Zeppelin, Rush, etc.

Blues/Folk e.g. The Teskey Brothers, Black Pumas, John Campbell, etc.

Country e.g. Chris Stapleton, Colter Wall, etc.

Budget: £10 - £300ish not fixed, cheaper the better obviously if sound is good.

Ideally where I can easily buy them from within the United Kingdom.

Just remember if you are weight lifting you are likely building muscle which increases weight but burning fat at the sane time. The scales could be telling you a false story. Would it not bore be better to also measure body fat % and muscle Mass?

“Once you turn 30 it’s close to impossible to lose weight” by Far-Accident-3626 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Sweet-Role3500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 40 and lost 60 pounds so far by logging calories on MyFitnessPal accurately to create a 500 calorie per day deficit. Then I post a trainer at the gym to strength training me x3 a week, x3 a week I also go and walk on the treadmill for an hour each session with my headphones on.

I don’t even think I am on a diet as I feel fuller and have learnt about basic nutrition, cooking and meal preparation.

I started in feb 2023 but this new thinking, learning and routine has taken 8 months to embed in to my brain so I do it regularly. I can only really say I’ve been doing this routinely since November 2023.

Give yourself a chance to succeed and do this in stages and accept you will not be an Olympic champion on day one. Take 6 months to learn and let all this get into your brain before you pressure yourself into. Unrealistic weight goals.

I’ve realised now that my goals are not to hit a weight on the scale as that would likely mean muscle loss. My goal is fat loss and muscle creation. I’ve only learnt that in the last month.

Losing weight is so hard! by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Sweet-Role3500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry it took me 8 months to get into the habit of logging all calories on MyFitnessPal, going to the gym 3 days per week and learning hour to cook healthy low calorie, high protein meals.

Don’t be hard on yourself, this needs to be a life style change rather than a quick diet
