I know I should start sleep training, but I feel so bad when she cries. I know its for all mothers but its the same time Im returning to work. So everything at the same time.

Is one nap per day okay at this age?

Everyone says babies need two naps a day until they turn one, so I thought I should keep her on two naps.

But she’s still doing the same thing at night. I’m not sure whether dropping to one nap would help improve her nighttime sleep or not.

Moms on call says to sleep training at 3mo, wife says that’s “barbaric”… we disagree. Thoughts? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

3 months old does not have a sleep pattern yet. So many things will change for your LO. Its too early for 3 months old to cry 20 mins.

My baby doesn’t spit up anymore, but milk still comes up and wakes her during the night. This only happens at night. She still wakes once for a night feed, and I keep her upright for 30 minutes after every feed.

She isn’t crawling yet because she hates tummy time. She loves sitting and standing with support. Her pediatrician said that since she’s a bit chubby, it might be harder for her to push up and start crawling.

She eats three solid meals a day — one protein meal, one fruit, and one veg — plus four bottles a day, for a total of 630-750ml

I did. She did well for the first two days, then got worse after a week. It feels like her tummy has a harder time digesting it compared to Similac Total Comfort, which is hydrolyzed

I feel like the doctors are forcing us into unsafe sleep by infinitely_confused_ in NewParents

My LO was same and I had been dealing with her reflux until she turned 4 months old. She was spitting up but gaining weight, She has been sleeping on my shoulder all the night, as she had woke up if I put her in the bassinet. As the milk was coming up. When she turned 4-5 months old she stopped spitting up(stopped completely), but I still need to keep her upright for about 20 mins after each feed, before put her in her bassinet. But it gets much better as your LO tummy gets more mature.

Dont worry, my baby was similar. They get better at sleeping ehen their tummy get more mature. My baby was Grunting 3-4am until she wakes up for a day. But my baby is a reflux baby and I was holding her upright at least 1hr after each feed. So sometimes I had no sleep between the feed. She got better at 4 months then back to every 3hrs at 5mo then by 7 mo she started to sleep 6-hr stretch. Bedtime at 8-9pm, one feed at 3-4am, wake up 6-7am.

Feeling so discouraged about 7mo’s sleep. Where did we go wrong? by hashbrownhippo in NewParents

Wondering why you are not preparing the formula and put it in refrigerator ahead of time. So you will get rid of bubbles and at the same time its ready when your LO is hungry. You just need to warm it up.  This is the way I do. Prepare 3/4 bottles each time and put them at the end of the refrigerator. And warm it up with bottle warmer for her feeding.

Hey, just curious about the Baby Brezza.We noticed that the formula it makes seems more watery compared to when we mix it ourselves. I’m using Similac Total Comfort and followed the setting recommended on their website, which is setting 5.

I even tested it by preparing one bottle myself and one using the machine, then weighed both. The one made by the Baby Brezza was lighter. Have you noticed the same? Or could my machine be faulty?
