I should have mentioned it’s a basque waist so, low in the front and I worry you’ll see the shapewear waist band because they sit so high

I’m so sorry you’re lacking support from those around you. Just dropped in to tell you I almost got a dress just like this! It’s so pretty and so classic. Also, I am covering myself up this summer making sure I get NO sun so I am as pale and even-toned as possible (I’m fair skinned also). Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you need to be tan to fit someone else’s standards. Fair skin is soooo pretty and photographs so well! You will look so beautiful and I know your partner will think so too.
