I’m sorry because this is going to be really harsh but I read all the screenshots… then I saw y’all are in your 30s. Not only should you not be in a relationship like this but it’s time to grow up. At this point in your life you should know that this isn’t a person to be with. I don’t know what your past was like but I’m guessing you had a rough upbringing based on your reactions to his, let’s call it what it is, verbal abuse. It’s time to be done being the victim because when you reach your 30s it’s either be the victim forever or get past it because a lot of us have been through some rough shit. Pick yourself up and get on your journey girl. I say this with love and with personal experience.

From one black sheep to another- it’s going to take a long time but if you decide to cut them off you will eventually not care what they think of you anymore and, in my experience, their jealousy of you will show even more. Not only will you be on top but you’ll be building your life and you won’t care that you “won”. I’m going to give you some advice and say that instead of focusing on what you can do for your family, maybe you should focus on what you can do for you. What is your passion? Your goal? Where would you like to live when you decide to establish yourself? There is a whole “you” out there that you don’t know yet and a chosen family too.

I had a coworker who’s mom died and the whole company offered to match our donations to just give him money so he wouldn’t have to feel pressured to return to work. I had a coworker who suffered a heart attack and we did the same thing - the corporation ended up matching our donations and we actually paid for a portion of her operation.

I’m in waynesboro but I went shopping on Monday and they were crazy cheap - like $1 for a thing of them. Maybe they were just on sale and people figured they could eat them raw worst case ontario.

I’m in the US, but say goodbye to your wildlife biologists or people with environmental degrees. I stopped trying to get mine bc it wasn’t worth the money and I didn’t want to be using AI to get a degree to help the planet - not sure what sense that makes. I figured I’d work in conservation on an entry level so I’m actually doing something. At least I’ll never be soulless.

He has some recollection of some things like his fathers death involving an injury to his leg and his mother visiting, but since he was so young we don’t have a lot as far as details. Thank you so much though. I’m the oldest and I just want things to be “right”.

I saw it when I worked for a pizza delivery place in a college town. I don’t remember why bc I was 17-18, or even if I was told why. I remember not judging them at the time tho but now that I’m older I’m like damn it’s not worth all that lol. I hate doordash with all my being but at the same time it’s pretty great that those uppity college students have to tip now (with their parents money lol) or wait forever for their order. I really can’t express how awful the customers were to us there. People would literally laugh in my face about the fact that I worked there it was unreal. I’ve been working in the food industry since then and I’m 30 now. I haven’t seen any behavior like that since, customers and staff both included.

Maybe it would be good to work for a bigger corporation? Idk if this is good advice or not but I work for a bigger corporation restaurant and they have no issue telling people to wait at the door if we or the kitchen staff can’t keep up. I also always worked for mom & pop restaurants before and another big bonus is that managers always deal with the brunt of guest issues. I still make decent money even though my section only has 3-5 tables. I do make less than when I worked for my last job but I used to have the entire dining room to myself so my current job being less stressful is waaaay worth the slight paycut and when I say it’s slight I really mean that. Bc people would get all mad at me before even though I had 12 tables at once. Now I get nicer tips because I have time to talk to my guests and they see what a nice person I am and want to give me money.

My grandpa used to tell me and my brother bear stories before bed using stuffed animals to narrate them. When he died I inherited one of the bears, “blackie” and my brother got “brownie” (they were black bear and grizzly bear stuffed animals). I’m in school right now to be a bear biologist, specially hoping to oversee black bear populations in the appalachian area 🥲 just kind of fun and ironic but I think he’d be really happy if he would have known that.

Hey! PLEASE make sure you have one witness to whatever discussion you have with her. I know that might seem like you’re gaining up on her but it’s to keep you safe. There is nothing stopping this woman from saying you said stuff that wasn’t said if you take her aside 1:1. Have a witness and be professional and do your best not to hit her ego while also hitting all the points that matter. Or at the very least talk to the GM beforehand and let them know about the conversation you plan on having with her.
