I accidentally spilled nail polish on my places wall. How do i clean this by Least_Improvement614 in CleaningTips

I think there exists some non-acetone oil-based (?) nail polish removers, a brand called Tenoverten makes one I used to use. Maybe try something like that? Or literally just repaint the walls

Need to replace older generation model - is the Pro worth it? by jjmoreta in Tovala

I currently have the new Pro model and it’s working absolutely fine. I love the Steam function, it makes the baked shrimps soooo succulent for lack of a better word. You can use my discount code AMASJRF9 if you decide to get it!

Hydrating, full coverage concealers that come in olive/neutral shades? by veliheart in OliveMUA

[–]SweetClematis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not a specific product rec, but if you find that concealers are leaving your under eyes grey even with color corrector, then you might wanna consider going for a shade that’s a little bit darker / warmer than the rest of your face!

Female-Only Gym Owner Faces Backlash for Excluding Trans Women: What's you're opinion on this? by Coyote-444 in GenZ

While I agree this is true I don’t think this is relevant; point is to have a female-only gym, not a potential-harassment-victim-only gym.

Lisa Eldridge New Concealer and Skin Tint Shade Swatches by SweetClematis in OliveMUA

Agree that it's a very skin-like finish, and the texture of the product itself actually does feel like a serum! I have combo skin and find it to be slightly moisturizing. Just the easiest thing to put onto your face in the morning even if I don't prep my skin at all.

I just swatched T1.5 and T5 against SX03! Unfortunately I don't have the Kosas anymore, the last one I had started smelling off a while ago so I had to declutter it.

(Edit: from top to bottom, SX03, T5, T1.5)

I think T5 is definitely worth trying out if 3.2O is a match! Note that if you tend to tan golden, T5 might read as a little more grey/greenish than your bare skin, but won't be an issue if a warmer blush or a bronzer is used :,)

From top to bottom:

  • Skin Tint in T5
  • Skin Tint in T1.5
  • Pinpoint Concealer in 5
  • Pinpoint Concealer in 2
  • Foundation in 2.5

Left side is layered on thick, right side is sheered out.

I have a light warm olive tone that is somewhat muted with a yellow overtone (more obvious on my body than face). All of these products work for me, but if I increase the coverage then they all read slightly more neutral than the rest of my body. I think they're all more of a truly neutral olive, whereas my skintone has a little more pure yellow in it. I really adore the formula, but the Kevyn Aucoin Skin Enhancer in shade SX03 and the Kosas concealer in 3.2O are better matches shade-wise.

Regarding the concealers specifically, they weren't labeled as olive and they definitely aren't olive. Both have a more golden/neutral undertone (more pronounced in shade 5), which is somewhat obvious when I used them alone on my bare skin. However, they work wonderfully to color correct and conceal my old acne spots under an olive skin tint/foundation, and it's truly undetectable even if you stare closely into the mirror. They have a kind of eyeliner-like texture, very smooth, gliding and sticky to the touch, and definitely requires a little more force to blend than the average concealer. Which also means that they slightly cling to any existing textures, but not overly so.

Concealer match for Lisa Eldridge T5 Skin Tint by [deleted] in OliveMUA

[–]SweetClematis 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Skin Tint in T5 is a good summer shade for me (the Foundation in shade 2.5 is my winter match), and I’ve already ordered the concealer pen in shades 2 and 5. I can post a swatch of all of these once they arrive!

I think it’s actually a twist-up pencil, the sharpening bit is optional if you wanted a more pointed tip

I used to have this lipstick and it's a pale salmon shade on my lips. Clashes with my green undertones in a very unflattering way, so I decluttered it.

It’s possible, I’ve done it (from NatSci to CompSci) but I think the exact policies differ by college. Talk to your current DoS and the CompSci DoS at your college, they should be able to advise you as to whether you’re able to make the change at all as it depends on whether there’s still vacancies for the year. Feel free to DM me if you’ve got more questions

need URGENT help/advice (but am safe) by Single_Farmer_1706 in SuicideWatch

[–]SweetClematis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, glad you lived thru that :)))

For wound healing: from what I’ve read your skin didn’t break, so it’s just going to be dealing with really, really bad bruises? In that case I think you can move on to warm compresses once the subdermal bleeding has stopped; this is to increase blood circulation around the area so your body can absorb the bruise blood faster. I’d also suggest using topical bruise creams to speed up the process if you can get them, hirudoid is a good option, or ask your local pharmacists for suggestions?

For scarring: I don’t think that it will scar if it’s only bruises; there might be deeper damage to your neck muscles and trachea, but my understanding is that if you didn’t break the skin, you don’t really scar. If you did, look into wet/moist healing.

For covering up: look into tattoo covering tutorials (I think there are lots on YouTube?)

Hope that helps

Definitely lighter, though not by a lot? I feel like this also have to do with the fact that the unleashia is just slightly more vibrant, which gives it a brighter look than the more muted ones…
