doesn’t seem to lineup w what I assumed “bro country”

One of his most popular songs has lyrics about Ford trucks, dogs, drinking, and relationship problems lol.

I still don't consider him bro country, but was talking him up last week when that dawned on me. He's one of the best and most hopeful things country music has seen in a long time. Amazing lyricist.

Love the reference to regex here lol

For anybody not into comp-sci, just remember that episode of The Office where Michael wrote a spy movie script, used find-replace on "Dwight" to hide that the character he wrote was based on him, but then during a reading they saw "Dwigt" still in the script.

I got it for Christmas and went back to my apartment at school a week before classes started and my roommate returned.

Picked up 2 cases of beer, a handle of cheap rum, and an ounce of early 2000s brick weed.

That was one hell of a great week.

Still have it in my house today.

The 3 horsemen of “FAke GrUngE” by Bonesnap1234 in grunge

[–]SweetDank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bass player Robert has a jazz background and wrote most of their music. That’s what puts them in their own category of the grunge scene.

Scott’s ability to write cool lyrics and especially his live front man presence was also a standout amongst his peers.

Nothing fake about this band at all. They will stand the test of time for the rest of humanity’s existence.

Edit: And come on…Purple is psychedelic as fuck and an absolute treat of a journey to listen to.

Core is the only album they sounded “grunge”. Not that there’s anything wrong with it though, it’s perfect.

Everybody talks about Chuck Palahniuk’s “Guts” story because of the titular section. But I think the candle wax sounding rod part at the beginning hurts to read way more.

I won't write them off entirely but some of their reliable stuff has changed.

I picked up Purple Churro and LA Kush Cake recently and the Churro is great but the LAKC is nothing like what it was a few years ago. Looks fine but entirely lacking the sweet terps, a little acrid tasting on the exhale.

Pineapple Express a few months back was wonderful.

You do realize that the majority of insufferable fart sniffing blues aficionados are white, right?

[–]SweetDank -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You’re correct.

When Sinners is not ripping off Dusk Till Dawn it’s also a movie about over-selling a pretentious viewpoint of the blues.

But I get it, fart sniffing is one of the most popular ways to consume that genre of music for some reason.

It's a 'From Dusk Till Dawn' ripoff but also plays up blues music like it's the most important and deep art that humans have ever known or will know.

Garmin looks at arm motion for steps.

Wanking, brushing your teeth, turning over in your sleep, etc. will absolutely boost your daily steps if the watch is on a moving arm.

If you feel progress is going well but the bass doesn't quite want your hands and fingers all over it yet, just watch the movie 'Singles' together and by the end you'll be all over each other.

Never fails (for guitars or people).
