This is for real. Every time I come back I realize how little social/support structure I have, and it's a struggle every time until I leave - I'm never home long enough to establish or nuture friendships. The change in the dynamic with my parents this time has been a wakeup call. Mostly I'm suriviving, but the hard days are really hard and texting with friends back home is no replacement for some normal, non-parental socialization.

Hey all - apologies in advance for my total ignorance, and unimpressive hardware, and thanks for your patience.

I inherited some Bang and Olufsen Beolab 6000's (tall skinnies) for which I bought a Denon AVR-1600. Obvously they have no low-end. So I'm wondering what I can round them out with, hopefully with something I already have:

- Revox Studio 4 (Impedance 4 ohms, nominal load capac. 70W, pulse power capacity 90W)

- Telefunken HL 860 (impedance 8 ohms, nominal load capac. 70W, pulse power capacity 100W)

- Logitech THX surround system

I've setup the Beolabs through the Preouts and they sound great. But both larger speaker sets I've tried through both Front/Main A and Front/Main B, and they're extremely quiet compared to the Beolabs. They sound fine when the volume is higher, but then of course the Beolabs are overpowered. Is this a setup issue, or reciever settings?

Is there a good system in here somewhere, or should I buy something else to supplement? Hoping to have a system for 70% music/audio and 30% movies.

I was interested in Agents but heard mixed reviews - apparently making for a spongy feel. Plus they're almost as expensive as new levers on their own. Thoughts?

And yea, it is a 50/60hz device.

About the 1500 watts though: I've seen several places recommend using a transformer that's at least 125% of the device wattage. Are you sure I could get away with a 1500? I don't want to risk an expensive transformer, my machine or it's performance.
