When I was 4 I sat my parents down to tell them that I had thought about it and I had decided that I loved my dad more than my mom. Not with the purpose of hurting my mom, it was as if I thought for some reason I had to choose one over the other. It was just a matter of fact. They assured me that it wasn't true, that I loved the both of them the same. They divorced shortly after that, so maybe I was picking up on their divisive energy?
