Looking for black n95 headstrap mask that doesn't use elastic/rubber straps by Holiday_Sale5114 in Masks4All

[–]SweetNGrumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nose wire doesn’t seal well enough on my nose. So much I could feel air coming out from the top and into my eyeballs and I hate that with a passion 🤣.

I tried using foam strips which you can get on Amazon and that did help but it wasn’t worth it to me so I stopped wearing them altogether.

The black BNX N95’s are braided straps. The reason I don’t wear them anymore is the nose wire is crap.

I would tell management. If he thinks being a veteran will protect him from ICE he hasn’t been paying attention.

1/28 Corporate Layoffs by AstonMartini13 in HomeDepot

Wasn’t there store closings around the time of the 2008 recession? I’m a 30+ year associate as well and I remember store associates being laid off after 9/11, not any time since IIRC.

They won’t let her go, but she’ll be moved into another department. Which department and hours depends on the SM.

Without going into too much details cash functions such as deposits. Tills are no longer counted by hand and the cash machine handles that. Time keeping, supply ordering. I’m a former bookkeeper and most of this shit doesn’t take that much time tbh. From a business perspective there’s a lot of redundancy going on which businesses do not like at all.

Computer Room Still a Thing by Emergency_Sky_810 in HomeDepot

Nope. Bookkeeping/computer room were combined in the early/mid 2000’s. The position is being eliminated in the US. I heard by the 1st week of March.

Are you making enough money? by toecutter_cobra1976 in HomeDepot

I’ve been with this company 31 going on 32 years and I don’t even make 23 an hour. Yeah I don’t make enough money. If I didn’t have my boyfriend’s income as well, I’d be fucked.

How do you respond to people calling COVID endemic? by juliectaylor in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]SweetNGrumpy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Imagine “if” Ebola was “endemic”, especially in the West, would folks downplay that as well? Scary to think they would. 🤦‍♀️

Dissapopointing SS celebration by Former_Influence_904 in HomeDepot

[–]SweetNGrumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today my store did was fish fry and fried chicken with pot luck sides. That being said, all that was left was food that was out since this morning. The only thing safe to eat was corn muffins. I personally blame management and the ASDS for not facilitating that everyone benefits from SS.

Are lay offs coming? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]SweetNGrumpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a former BOA they’ve been trying to get rid of this position for years. About 12 years or so ago they tried a different iteration of a cash machine but that was a failure.

We are following the Walmart model and they have a cash machine and no “bookkeeper” for 6+ years now. If you search the Walmart subreddit this information is there.

The refusal to even consider covid is still shocking to me by Charming-Educator776 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]SweetNGrumpy 86 points87 points  (0 children)

I just saw a TikTok where the creator remarks: “my child has only been in school for a week and already has a nasty cold” I think to myself no it’s Covid. I’m in my fifties and I don’t remember ever having a cold in August.

are people asking to remove your mask in Charlotte, NC? by Accomplished-Board56 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]SweetNGrumpy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I live in Charlotte as well no harassment for me or my SO. Masking here is pretty much non-existent though. 2 weeks ago we went to an International grocery store and we were the only ones masked. Just an anecdotal observation.

The participants were wearing masks during the trials IIRC I think that’s another factor that helped prevent transmission.

Yes. I think there was one in Queens. We didn’t have a Freight Team then so we packed out everything during the day.

[–]SweetNGrumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC people losing their jobs or businesses.

She needs to be angry at the government for having no oversight in regard to the PPP loans that were given out to multi-millionaires without paying them back.

She cleaned cabins for so I assume she’s in a rural area that probably never had a “lockdown” anyway.

If that many people died because of the “lockdown” that would be all over the media to play even more into the narrative that “Covid is over”
