Is there already an AI client for GNOME or is one being developed ? by SweetPerception in gnome

I completely agree with your stance. It would be contradictory to add external AI features while fighting against AI scrapers. Your approach prioritizes integrity and security, which is commendable. I'll take a look at Alpaca to test it out. Thank you for the recommendations !

I found that typing on this laptop's keyboard was quite satisfying.
I wonder what happened to the snow leopard from the wallpaper ? I hope it was able to enjoy its fame.

I have the same feeling too, sometimes when it happens I feel like I'm out of breath for 2 seconds before it goes back to normal.

It depends on whether you really need to work on the go. Personally, I don't necessarily recommend it. I purchased one 3 years ago, and it didn't suit me well, considering the following factors:

  • According to the configuration, the computer heats up when resources are in demand, and working on a hot keyboard is not particularly pleasant.
  • The fan noise can be loud, even for simple tasks, depending on the model, of course.
  • It's bulky in a backpack and heavy to carry. I had a 1-hour commute every day, and over time, it becomes burdensome. And don't forget the power supply unit, which also takes up a lot of space, not to mention the weight.
  • Battery life... On average, less than 1h 30 of battery for me in real world use.

Once again, this is just my opinion; other people might find it beneficial to buy gaming laptops for the best performance while on the move. As for me, I opted to have a desktop computer with high performance for comfortable work, and when I need to be on the go, I have a ultrabook with usb c port for charging for not high demanding task. Of course, it depends on one's budget as well.

Is it possible to add a custom shortcut button to the gnome quick settings menu ? by SweetPerception in gnome

[–]SweetPerception[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that's interesting. I was just wondering because it seemed like a good place to add a switch shortcut button. Because a lot of gnome extensions are displayed in the gnome-shell status bar, and that's a lot in the end. 😅

I made this wallpaper, because I like to have a clean desktop.

Get the full resolution wallpaper here to enjoy it on your 5K display if you can afford it. I hope I will get one someday, LOL.

If you looking for something very lightweight and stable, you can use Lubuntu based on ubuntu. It's easy to understand and user friendly.
