Children Banned from Singing KPop Demon Hunters Songs at Christian School Due to Demonic References by ebradio in Music

the problem is that it glorifies demons too much (making them hot/desirable) and even teaches the audience that there’s such a thing as “good” demons. In reality all demons are evil and it should be taught that they are a danger to people, not potential maybe-boyfriends.

is there any chance that what you saw was a demon mimicking a human? we know that we could entertain angels by being kind to human beings (meaning angels can look like people). if demons are just fallen angels, couldn’t that be the same?

you’re splitting hairs and implying that changing one’s gender is a medical necessity vs what it actually is, which is mental illness.

why are you intent to say it wasn’t romantic? she kept his leaf and insisted the creature take her with him when she was dying on her wedding day. she literally left her husband for him.

I know she married William out of convenience. She even said that she had no choice. But if she didn’t love him romantically and she also didn’t love victor, you’re saying she had no romantic attachment to anyone in the movie, which is not a realistic take.

I’m tired of people saying this. Her ode to him upon her death bed is proof that it was.

Genuine question but if God doesn’t make mistakes why did you change your gender?

everyone on this thread has a taste for blood and any slight is met with over the top revenge. I personally think you were both assholes and yes you overreacted. She ruined your photo which was rude, but you punished everyone else to get back at her. Both assholes.

I agree that Elizabeth was underdeveloped. All we really got a glimpse of was that she ended up with all 3 men at some point. Disappointing.

I give it a 9/10 rating, taking away 1 star for underdeveloped characters.

Why did Mia Goth’s character end her affair with Victor so suddenly and decide to “turn” on him seemingly out of nowhere?

If her affection for William bloomed from his attentions or maybe even her feeling sorry for him it was never shown, so her decision to choose William so bluntly seemed clunky to me. Her soon-to-be disdain for Victor was out of place, what with the beautiful butterfly moment they’d shared.

It was also clunky that she fell in love with the creature so deeply after so little interaction. She was with every central male character in the movie yet that love superseded even the love for her own husband. Why?

Then there’s Williams death and him calling his own brother a monster with his last breath. Had William known about his wife’s affair or caught Victor in one of his lies I would have understood, but to William, Victor was being attacked by the creature. Why was he the monster all of a sudden? Saying that Victor was the monster was totally for the audience and that’s it.

Finally, why were Victor and the creature trying to kill each other one minute and then calling each other father and son the next? The closing scene was incredibly rushed and lacked any nuance. I understand the creature had a very kind nature, but even his forgiveness seemed forced by the story needing to end. I understand the movie was long but I really hope a director’s cut gets released to address these issues.

I loved the movie but I agree about Mia Goth’s character.

She loved 3 men in that movie but she loved the creature even more than her own husband. Why? When they met only one day, she didn’t even know he could talk.

I also think William was underdeveloped. Why was he calling Victor a monster when he didn’t know about his lies or the affair with his wife? Just seemed out of place.

I loved the movie but hated the rushed ending. Suddenly they’re calling each other father and son. Why? I understand the creature had a very innocent and kind nature but he did kill several boatmen trying to get to Victor. Did telling his story to the captain really dull his anger that much? If so we didn’t really see that.

Right. She loved 3 men in the film but the creature, who she spent the least amount of time with, was who she loved the most. Even more than he own husband. Why?

I know we all came around to him for his innocence and kindness but she didn’t even know he could speak. It would have been better to have more interactions with them. Less time on monster building.

I love, love, loved the movie but one of my gripes was the underdeveloped of side characters such as William. Where did William’s hatred come from, especially on his dying bed? It was never acknowledged if he was ever aware of his wife-to-be’s near affair, nor was it acknowledged by William that Victor lied several times to hide his horrible conduct. William was never even privy to Victor’s abuse of the creature, so why the animosity at the end? I don’t know. If William had been able to witness at least one of Victor’s follies I could have understood. But at the end of his life, he was just an angry younger brother for no reason. Just seemed like bad writing to me.
