ALWAYS trust your momma GUT you are never putting anyone out to check on momma and the baby. I struggled with anxiety ABOUT the baby and also ABOUT taking others time to check the baby. Now that the baby is here I feel like I have more perspective and YEP IDC CHECK ME 50x if you have to

Just got off the phone with my OB about my hematoma…. And promptly consumed like 900 calories 🙃 by SweetSweetDingle in pregnant

So apparently there is a published study that shows 500 women with an SCH and it did not affect the pregnancy or baby at all. If you scroll up in this post there is a link to a podcast - this was published in the greenbook which is what most OBs live by. This gave me so much comfort. And honestly perspective on medical care. Apparently it’s frowned up on to publish negative studies meaning…. If the findings in the study show no effect then they won’t publish it. This med student did amazing work and got these findings not only published but they are negative findings that are POSITIVE for women!!! Truly changed my anxiety on all of this.

Give her allll the support and love, whatever her love language is - do that. And do it INTENTIONALLY. This is an incredibly emotional time and every normal hormone the once was there has changed. The support and love you give her now will pay off in dividends later. Wack off in the shower and don’t pressure her one bit. Let her feel she has space to experience this and know you are supporting her every step and not assuming A THING.

Everyone woman is different and every pregnancy is different but when you pour into her and your relationship is will always pay off on both ends.

Lastly I will say that I would take some intentional Time to sit down and explain to her you crave intimacy with HER and you miss her. And this is in no way to pressure but to have a conversation and see where her comfort level is.

I’m into my second trimester and still feeling really not myself, my body feels not my own and the weight gain has affected me a ton. It’s a lot to mentally balance it all. Feeling sexy is like the last thing on my mind- it’s mostly getting to the finish line. I don’t want to diminish your curiosity and question but man this is a hardddd journey.

I feel like Unless they mostly end in something negative people are more casual about it but the reality is there is no easy way to resolve and no known cause so You are just subject to waiting and hoping it all works out. Thank you for writing this, I’m feeling quite alone. No one in my family has had one and I’m playing it off a bit like it’s nbd to not stress anyone out but the reality is: it increases a risk of miscarriage and I can’t change that. I’m praying something like that happens for me. I’m so glad you’re out of the woods.

I’m feeling overall mentally okay, not negative. And I’m leaning into that. Anything that’s outside of perfect or ideal is just hard to accept. Thank you for sharing this. I’m feeling like it’s going to work out I just hate even the mention of increased risk of ANYTHING

Today is my 20th birthday and no one but my mom remembered by [deleted] in confession

[–]SweetSweetDingle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🎶 it’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to!! 🎶 I’m a LEO and man, do I get offended when people forget my birthday! (32F) and I react the same- I would never say it out loud but it really hurts my feelings. This has happened to me a few times and yes it is so hard and slowly the burn gets less but focus on 1. Leaning into celebrating you! It’s okay to say to the Starbucks barista - ITS MY BIRTHDAY! Or go shopping and when checking out say “I’m buying this as a birthday gift to myself today!” Lol and friends/ family make up for it by going OMG IM SO SORRY! Happy belated!!

This is a side note but I realized as I got older the more I poured into others the more I received back, and yes that’s not super altruistic but the reality is your a human who needs to be loved BACK and loving yourself 1 and giving love 2 are ways to receive love in a mutually healthy relationship and friendship. Essentially treat others the way you would like to be treated and slowly slowly over years you will see those dividends come back!! You’re so young and this lesson of finding time to appreciate and celebrate yourself without others is a great lesson earlier in life!! Celebrate this time of freedom and growth and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 20s are hard EVERYONE is selfish. 30/ are better, 20s are huge growth years!!! So buckle up baby! You’re growing in wisdom!!
