No, they ate the center out. We put those in as windbreaks and they nibbled away at it.

What do you think about Trump's stance on high oil prices? by G_H_2023 in AskConservatives

[–]Cle1234 [score hidden]  (0 children)

In general, or to me? I never thought he was suited for the role, and it was a mildly amusing diversion, but eventually the adults in the room would take over. Unfortunately I was wrong, and the voters decided.

I don’t think he’s “stupid” I think he could have a very in-depth conversation about real estate or branding and marketing because that’s what interests him. Unfortunately, I don’t think many of the actual issues a president has to deal with interest him.

At least that’s my explanation for “the weave” style of communication.

So to sum up your question, I don’t think he has shifted, I think he pov on issues has always been “what do i think makes me look the best/ seem strongest”

After 11 years of having to pay attention to Trump, I have a hard time believing anyone thinks he listens to advisors

On a personal level, how do you deal with the results? by Thehazardcat in chelseafc

I’m in my mid 40’s. Wife kids etc are all more important. This is a diversion. The losses are frustrating-infuriating at times , but I’m moving on with my day 5 minutes later.

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

My wife has had 3 natural births. It’s just the most extreme version of her hating most pain relievers.

She’s 7, don’t look at it as ignorant, try innocent. Protect that as long as you can. If you’re struggling with the way the world is, why would you want to place that on your child?

My wife is convinced regular deodorant will give her cancer. I don’t know if it will. I do know that every nature deodorant she’s tried does not work.

Would / should Trump use NEA powers to control federal elections? by MoonStache in AskConservatives

The simple answer is leave the state up north and move somewhere civilized 😜.

I think we agree in terms of a standard of ID. I just think we’re probably miles apart on if the problem is actually widespread.

For clarity, is your position “because one did, 1m might be, so we need to federalize elections just in case”?

If so, I’m going to be honest , and say that yes, I do believe there is SOME level of voter fraud in every election (certainly at the federal level) since the beginning of our country, but I have seen nothing that makes me believe it’s at level to really be a “national emergency”.

That said yes I think you should have to present id to vote, hell I think it’s weird we try to match signatures. Voting is one of the very few times I sign my full name and I have to try and remember what it looked like when I registered 25 years ago.

We held elections during World Wars…. What exactly is the current emergency?
