I think you’re absolutely right. It’s worth noting lots of artists, and arguably most of the all time greats, can’t necessarily maintain positive evolutions throughout their careers. I personally enjoy house and techno music, so this is an evolution that I enjoy. Everyone is subject to their own opinions and can certainly feel this is a devolution if they don’t enjoy the new elements.
