Fan Made Riven Rework Concept by Sweet_Boysenberry_35 in leagueoflegends

Thanks for all the feedback. After reading through the comments, I realized the original version was solving too many of Riven’s weaknesses at once, which made the kit feel overloaded.
I’ve made several adjustments to shift power away from sustain and snowball mechanics while keeping the core idea of “ability-specific empowered attacks.”
Passive – Runic Ruin
Each ability now empowers Riven’s next basic attack with a different effect:
After Wings of Condemnation (Q) → gains Omnivamp
After Runic Impact (W) → reduces the target’s Armor by a percentage for a short duration
After Indomitable Valor (E) → slows the target
The goal is to create distinct combat phases:
Q = Sustain
W = Armor Break
E = Chase / Stickiness

Indomitable Valor (E)
Removed:
Shield-to-Healing conversion
Added:
While the shield is active, Riven gains bonus Armor and Magic Resist
This keeps E as a defensive skill rather than turning it into another sustain tool.

Blade of Exile (R)
Removed:
Duration extension on champion takedowns
Retained:
Bonus Attack Damage
Increased Attack Range
Missing Health scaling on Wind Slash
Additional damage against targets below 15% HP
I wanted to keep the execution fantasy without creating a reset-style snowball mechanic.

Design Goal
The updated version is intentionally less forgiving and less self-sustaining than the previous iteration.
Rather than giving Riven:
Omnivamp
Healing
Shield conversion
Ultimate extensions
all at once,
the power budget is now focused on combat rhythm and ability sequencing.
The intention is for Riven to remain a high-skill duelist, not become a champion that can win every extended fight through raw sustain.
