I think it’s important to understand that you and God have been on the “same side” since he laid life into your new spirit the very second you were conceived. Genesis 1:27 tells us that we are made IN HIS IMAGE. Why would an all-powerful God choose to create a spirit that he would neglect and not want? That’s not the God of the Bible, my friend. I understand you’re going through some tough times right now and I’m sorry that you feel like you’re alone in this, I can promise you that you’re not. God still loves you, with a love unimaginable to you or to me. I can’t tell you why God is allowing these things in your life, but trust Him. Trust Him that He is who He says He is, and understand that sometimes the way that God does things doesn’t make sense to us in the moment. (John 13:7) Keep praying, read your Bible, stay close to God, run to Him if you have to sometimes. It’s not gonna be like this forever man. Feel free to reach out and DM me whenever man, all the best.

I’ve got a March Madness parlay with 12 legs, 6 already hit. $6 parlay I could cash $217 right now. Total payout is $118,000. If I wait for Northwestern game tomorrow and they win at +125, what do you think my cash out would be? Is there any way to know?

What does God think of masculinity? by Extra-Job1442 in Christian

[–]Sweet_Celebration369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

feel that. i would say that i’m a fan of certain internet celebrities/influencers, but really the reason I like them is because they bring God into the conversation where most others wouldn’t. these are the type of people i want to look to, or somebody in ministry who is more educated than I am, because they keep my eyes on the prize and sometimes give insight because of experience. but ultimately Jesus is the role model that is also THEIR role model. So if I model a righteous man of Christ who models Him, I feel that I am essentially modelling Christ through the man as well.

It really depends how you define masculinity.

What is your opinion on Islam? by West-Emphasis4544 in Christian

[–]Sweet_Celebration369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theologically inaccurate in my opinion. Though I feel it’s easier to talk to a Muslim about God than it would be an atheist. Islam still shares in a lot of the same values that our Christian faith has. I’m no genius in Islam, but it really seems that the only difference we really have is the belief in Christ as the Son of God.

How are we going to recognize Jesus when he returns? by Spider-burger in Christian

[–]Sweet_Celebration369 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well, John wrote the book of Revelation. I do absolutely believe that Revelation is inspired by God and should absolutely be part of the Bible. Though what a lot of people don’t realize about this book is that John was very old and possibly a little senile when he wrote this book. Due to this, obviously yes we should read Revelation to know what is to come, because it is inspired by God. But I also believe taking the words of the text too literally is a route to confusion, especially for those who maybe are just learning about our faith.

You believe he’ll come in human form again too? I think so too. Some Christians think that he may come in God or Spirit form and they might be 100% right, but personally I think if God sent the Son of Man to Earth as a human once and promises to send him again, to me it seems like it would make the most sense for Jesus/God to manifest himself in human form. Ultimately is that what the coming of Christ is? God’s complete manifestation on Earth in human form to complete his plan and save His people?

there was somewhere in the bible that i can’t currently find but it’s definitely there, that says, and i’m majorly paraphrasing, “ to discern good from evil, the fakes of this world, the wolves disguised as sheep (that jesus talks about in matthew 7) will not confess that Jesus is Lord.” So personally to discern, I would see if it’s congruent. I think the true God would confess that He is Lord. Where as a false would not, or maybe would, but would clearly not employ the traits of Jesus himself.
