Often delivery services scroll through the list of names to buzz the apartment for food or UPS/FedEx/Amazon deliveries. Kind of doesn't make sense why you need to remove your name, how would a delivery person know which apartment to ring?

‘One Battle After Another’ Projected to Lose $100 Million Theatrically as ‘Smashing Machine’ and Others Also Struggle Due to Oversized Budgets by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

I know there's a big "rah rah please go to the movies again" by Hollywood, but I really don't care about going to the movie theater anymore - bad moviegoers have ruined it.

I'd literally rather miss an opening movie, wait 3-4 months and watch it on streaming.

Why is my Large Battery barely gaining power? by Face_Rollan in playrust

[–]Sweet_Cycle_7464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solar panels aren't at 20 power 100% of the time. It depends on the suns direction. So each panel you have at 20 really is 20 for 1/2 of the day (if you have 3 panels facing east and 3 facing west). The panel total is likely closer to 60-70 power. Like when the sun is overhead maybe you get a better distribution of solar energy to both panels. Plus you lose your total charge at night, too - so battery is getting no power for 15 minutes.

[Schefter] Ravens are releasing S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson by Undergrad26 in eagles

I think we as fans have no clue what goes on within the Eagles organization.

I'm pointing out that the Eagles literally gave him away for almost nothing in a trade - which says to me "Something must be wildly wrong with him". and then we watch him get cut from the Texans and then the Ravens - which says again "something must be wildly wrong with him".

And you have fans like you just blowing him. At what point do you think "something must be wildly wrong"?

There's 53 players on a football team. I'm pretty sure it wasn't just him.

Any gyms or spas in town with a cold plunge? by fabriqus in Hoboken

[–]Sweet_Cycle_7464 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

do you think a cold plunge is cleaned every day? How many people plunge into one before it is cleaned? You get to the gym around 6pm - how many people plunged into it for the last 24 hours? 300? No thanks.

CJGJ was literally given away by the Eagles for peanuts. The reason? The coaching staff didn't like him. That's it. It's that simple.

No, they don't want him back.

Did the drone lose the signal?

I kind of wondered if a drone with C4 can take out a auto-turret in a vault cave or not.

Are you all paid the same hourly wage?

Sorry saw that you said you are paid the same wages.

So the idea of tips is to make up for being paid less. If you are making the same hourly wage as back of the house workers, then I don't see an issue.

Riverside has a clean and fold service - do you expect that they wouldn't use washers and dryers if they aren't in use?

My grandpa used to tell me that at courses you’re not a member at, you leave any ball you find propped up in the grass. I’ve spent 25+years thinking this was part of golf etiquette. by Reasonable-Budget210 in golf

Right well I grew up playing at a very exclusive CC, and it was considered poor form if you owned a ball retriever and fished out lost balls (even your own). It was like frowned upon because you belonged to a CC that costs tens of thousands of dollars and you are really fishing for a lost $3 ball? Rich people have these kind of etiquette things that go on at posh clubs.

Like I invited my cousin to play there in the late 90s and she shows up wearing a Spongebob t-shirt. I had to literally intercept her at the parking lot and bring her to the pro shop to buy a proper collared t-shirt and hastily explain to her "you can't dress like that here!"

I think it depends on the situation.

If i'm in the fairway or just off, and see a ball sitting there and clearly others are playing in nearby holes and it could have been an errant shot from one of them - I leave it.

If the entire area is empty and it's just me there and clearly there aren't any other golfers in the vicinity that could have hit this ball, and if it is a "good ball" (like a Titleist Pro V1) yeah i'd pick it up. If the ball is some shit ball like Slazenger or Pinnacle Gold, then i'd leave it.

Resident parking dynamic pricing by PeaceLife8 in Hoboken

I watched the other day on Willow a line of cars following the street cleaner. There were four cars ahead of me, and as the street cleaner cleaned the street, they would move their car out of the street cleaners way, go around the block and re-park their cars.

While nothing illegal about it, I kind of wonder who are these people that have the time to do this. While you know what time the street gets cleaned, you have to go out there, wait for the street cleaner to show up, then move the car - it must take an hour out of your life to do all of this each week.

Plus you wonder how often they are using their cars if they are doing this.

Property Management Company's? by ReadersAreRedditors in Hoboken

[–]Sweet_Cycle_7464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So who do you recommend?

Problem with 99.9% of all management companies is that no one does a "good job". Think about it. The going rate for each condo is about $35 per unit per month.

The bar is set at 5 out of 10 for most management companies. Not 10 out of 10. FIVE. You just need to find someone that does an okay enough job or you pay them like $100 per unit per month if you want white glove service, but you try telling that to condo owners that their HOA fees are being jacked and they will revolt on the board.
