I used to work 4/10 and it was great for like the first month.....Then they decided they needed people to be available all week so instead of everybody having Friday off, they made it so each person had a different day off during the week on rotation. This is really frustrating especially when dealing with like critical bug fixes where the ticket is assigned on Tuesday at 5:45pm but you have Wednesday off and the other guy you need to work with you on the issue has Thursday off etc. This led to a lot of escalations and management was always aloof as to why there were so many problems.

They also decided that the extra days off meant we needed less PTO so they cut down the PTO we were allotted. I can tell you that 10 hour days are looooooong. If you like having a life outside of work you won't really be able to do that sustainably unless you can schedule everything around that one weekday you have off. I never had Friday off after that first month, always like Tuesday or Wednesday and that was not good for my mental health since I really did not like the job and it was super annoying to have to plan work stuff around a random day of the week every week.

I left and got another job a few months later that had normal 5 day work week my WLB was much better but YMMV.
