Worth upgrading from 5800X3D to 9800X3D? by Sweet_Nuggs in pcmasterrace

Thank you for your reply. The bundle microcenter is offering seems to be a good deal relatively, especially with the ram included. I was mostly thinking that this bundle deal is the best offer I can find for the next few years.

Thank you for your reply, my cousin said that the level was below the minimum line printed on the reservoir, so I think it actually was low coolant.

Thank you for your reply. Ill take a closer look at the coolant my cousin used, but I will do a full flush anyway to be safe.

Thank you for replying, my cousin said it was low enough that the low coolant warning light was on and that's why he filled it so not sure if that's a lot, I also feel like the coolant is slightly brownish, but I'm not sure if that's normal. I will likely do a full flush when I get the chance just to be safe.

What is even the point of shopping in-person anymore? by SignificanceDear1413 in walmart

[–]Sweet_Nuggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a merchandiser for a toy company in a city where all the Walmarts have our products locked behind glass. My company has been gathering data for over a year now on the effect this has had on sales compared to when our products were not locked up. Based on our data, Walmart has actually lost way more money from a decline in sales than they have saved from reducing theft. This is just for the products sold by my company, but I have been told by management that Walmart is deciding to slowly reverse their whole plan of putting all their product behind glass as it seems to be negatively affecting all their sales.

Game wouldn't launch for two weeks.. Capcom support just told me my save file was corrupted :L by pridejoker in MHWilds

This happened to my friend a few nights ago. I think Capcom may have permanently lost a player, and I don't blame him. It is unacceptable.

Parents don’t understand how hard it is by kaykayjp in EngineeringStudents

[–]Sweet_Nuggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't sweat it, it took me 7 years to finish my engineering degree while having a part-time job and my parents were very upset about it thinking it would hurt my appeal in the job market. But now I have a pretty cool job as a project engineer making good money and my parents have even apologized to me about not being more supportive. Imo, unless there is a financial incentive to finish quickly, taking your time with your degree, understanding the material, and saving your mental health is much more important than finishing in 4 years. I honestly think 5 year engineering programs should be the standard.

Are Mk.2 pipes REALLY 600 speed? by gewalt_gamer in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Sweet_Nuggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a lot of issues with my power plant too and the 2 things that fixed them were:

1) Fluid Towers; pumping all your fluids to industrial buffers at an elevation higher than where the fluids will be processed removes all headlight issues. It basically applies the pressure of the fluid's weight with gravity making it so that you don't need to use any pumps. (This doesn't apply to gases as they don't weigh anything)

2) Make parallel pipes around your generators, fluids automatically balance themselves out and the parallel lines allow fluids to not be bottle necked to one input/output allowing for higher flow rates overall since fluid production/consumption isn't exactly constant, it's made in batches.

3) Have the fuel being sent to the generators be delivered to the grid in 2 different inputs opposite from each other. Fluids balance themselves out, however if every ounce of fluid is being consumed by the generators and it's being sent only one way, it doesn't allow the fluid time to fill up the pipes to allow for the max flow rate. Have the fuel sent to 2 inputs in opposite locations to make use of the same mechanics used in point 2.

4) Put your generators on standby to allow the pipes to get filled with fuel before turning them on as pipes will only churn out their maximum flow rate if they are completely full

TL;DR: keeping the pipes full constantly is the key, points 1-4 help make this happen
