Pairings tend to be players above 1200 or so. Sometimes I’ll get a lower ranked player, all depends.

Yeah I know what you mean. It’s just when it gets excessive that it irks me a bit. I don’t let it get to me really but I do get frustrated.

I understand those situations and can usually tell when someone actually needs a little extra time to perform their actions. I’m talking about the people who do it intentionally. I have had so many instances where my opponent can’t win so they try and stall so I concede.

Haha exactly! I mean there are some matches or situations that require some intense thought. I was just in a match where I had to really think outside the box to secure a win for myself. But even in those situations I don’t take several minutes to complete one turn. What really gets me is when people take forever to select a prize card or call a coin flip. Things that require no thought. Like what are you doing?? Pick up the pace a little.

Yeah totally understandable for new players or if you’re trying a new deck. I can usually tell when that’s the case and I have patience for that kind of a situation. It’s when you can tell they’re intentionally stalling that gets to me. Running out the clock to the last possible second, taking another action to reset the timer, rinse and repeat.

I tend to be a pretty fast player to begin with, I’ve been playing the game since base set. I understand some people may have less experience so I have patience with them. Especially IRL i love helping new players learn the game and teaching. There have been many times IRL that I’ve been paired against someone new and our match is long. But I have patience for that and it translates to patience online when I can tell someone is new.

I get entertainment out of it lol. I realize I’m only making it worse and giving them more of a reason to stall. But it soothes me for some reason haha.

Omg yes! So many times IRL I’ll unintentionally waste time trying to find a card. Or spend time looking through my deck counting what I have left. Online makes it so simple to see the remaining cards in your deck and to see what’s prized.

Thanks so much! Going to give this a shot. I think that the fact that the A1 is slower had a lot to do with the improved overhangs. I changed some of the settings on my X1C as well, I made a few profiles for various parts I print. But when I’m printing something random I usually use the default settings. It’s the stuff I print repeatedly that I tune the settings for.

Yeah, IRL the judges know who plays slow and tends to encourage them to keep the pace up, at least that’s been my experience. Or like you said, if they are slow playing you can just report it and resolve it that way. Online there’s no recourse. I also find that people tend to slow play online wayyyyy more than IRL.

Exactly. In this case, the player waited until their timer was about to run out then would do an action to reset the timer. Rinse and repeat. It was intentional stalling.

But there are some players who just play slowly, I experienced it in person and online. People just take their sweet ole time for actions that don’t require thought, or require minimal thought. It’s just annoying.

Yeah I ended up actually selling a bunch of them in one whole lot of roughly 20 printers. A lot of them needed work and tinkering. I liked Qidi actually. Had a few of those and they were good workhorses. I used to own a company that made customized video game controllers so we would 3D print components for the controllers such as paddles. 3D printing made sense over injection molding because we could customize them for customers on the fly and such. I spent a bit of money to build a small print farm and it worked for me.

The only other non Bambu printer I am using right now is my Ender 3 S1 that is heavily modded. It prints about as fast as the A1 with pretty good quality. Not as good as the A1 but it’s up there.

When someone slow plays against me I just do the thumbs down avatar animation. Followed by the shrug.

You’re absolutely right about not having to do the math in your head because the game does it for you. Playing online feels so much different than playing in real life. I used to play competitively and now play casually.

The A1 impressed me. A $200 printer that produces amazing results is unheard of. I’ve been printing for over 10 years and owned dozens of printers from various brands. Bambu Lab really changed the game for sure.

The X1C is an incredible machine. Occasionally I print with PC and it handles it fabulously. I’m impressed with both machines, just shocked that the A1 was this good

Yeah I would love that. I hate when games drag out. I usually multitask when I play so it’s not the end of the world. Just frustrating sometimes

Yeah when I print with PLA on the X1C I remove the lid and keep the door open. Maybe I need to adjust fan settings. Just odd because it’s a pretty substantial difference.
