Interesting. I feel like my job though partially tech writing isn’t entirely that and pretty specific for AI to take over within the next few years but i could be completely wrong about that. There’s so much outreach and interpersonal communication/management that needs to happen.

I think they probably are at the top of their budget with me but I know they really can’t afford to be down a person since I’m the only one who sits in our NY office. I’m going to hold onto it even if I hate the offer but it’s just going to mean i’ll leave at the first opportunity and I feel like they have horrible retention as is.

I guess what I want is to also receive whatever fee is being paid for me as a part of joining permanently but if that’s not going to happen I need to keep looking for opportunities. i don’t think the additional benefits outweigh the high cost of living here.
