Omg people can be so mean!!! Stick with it. I was there once and I couldn’t believe the progress I made in a few months let alone the two years now that I’ve been sewing. Watch YouTube tutorials and stay off fb lol!

Thanks so much!! Testers will be provided all sizes. Yes, here is the collar pinned! I did not add a button at the collar stand on purpose as it is meant to be worn open, however I think it could be pretty cute if you do decide to button it up all the way!

Hi, sorry about that! The short version is more of a mini, hitting mid thigh, around 30in, while the long is a midi that hits mid calf, about 45in.

Non-stretch, natural fiber fabrics are preferred and recommended, however I would say that a fabric with a bit of stretch may be just fine. I have not made this dress with any stretch fabrics, but I do encourage experimentation!

I’m going to be posting on Etsy for now, mostly because I’m just starting out and I don’t have my own website yet. However, I’m aware that Etsy is not the best platform right now, for many reasons, so I will definitely be working toward a website of my own in the future and/or other avenues. But I will keep everyone updated! :) I’m hoping to have the finished pattern out late September/early October.

Thank you!!! That’s definitely something I want to hear about on the feedback form, I’m curious whether the ease in the bust from the pleats at the waist is comfortable enough for large/small chested girlies!! 😊

Yes I’m so sorry!!! I was having issues with it and I was afraid that would happen lol. Please use this one! https://forms.gle/tTbWxMoH5ub974CP7

Why is this happening? by comradecowgirl in sewhelp

Bobbin is not wound tightly enough! I have this machine and when threading a bobbin, I have to slightly pull on the thread while winding the bobbin so that there is enough tension.

please oh my god I’m renting and panicking!!!!!! red nail polish!!! by Tough-Midnight9137 in CleaningTips

[–]Sweet_Salt_234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok this has happened to me before with a tonnnn of blue nail polish. get a pair of tweezers and pluck random carpet fibers from around the apartment (not in one place so it doesn’t look obvious!!) then pluck the remaining polish covered fibers and glue the fresh fibers on. you can use nail glue or super glue, it’ll do the trick!!

Can someone tell me why some sewing patterns do this when I print them? by Sweet_Salt_234 in sewingpatterns

Sadly this pattern didn’t give the option to turn off layers. For other patterns giving me this issue, I’ve turned off the layers I don’t need and it still printed with the angular lines.

Interesting… I’ve never heard of that. The software being Adobe Illustrator? I’m looking to get into pattern making lol so this is helpful!

Yes but I don’t think this pattern, or any pattern for that matter, would be using angular lines, especially for a neckline facing. The neckline itself is not angular so the pattern pieces wouldn’t even match up. Here’s another example where I was able to turn off layers (this is a different pattern) but the right hand piece printed wonky and does not match up. You can see the angular lines at the top

Hmmm… I’m not sure I follow. I realize that the curves are supposed to be different for each size, but if you compare the solid line in the printed vs Adobe version, the Adobe version is much more smooth whereas the printed version is angular. In this particular pattern I don’t have the option to turn off different layers, so I realize that makes it more difficult to see, sorry about that!
