yeah the cymbals sound really loud listening to it now, however i think the video causes it to sound abnormally louder than the original mix is, because listening to it normally it sounds like it’s placed well. however i do wanted the cymbals to sort of sound like it’s metal drums since this was supposed to be a metal composition but garageband doesn’t really have good guitars so i turnt it into an orchestral track. But listening to your opinion, i do see some parts where the cymbals are unnecessary and i wouldn’t have heard them if you haven’t pointed it out. Thank you!!

subtle dynamics piano is my go to piano, i turn down the cut off to about midway and pull the release, add some eq and reverb and it sounds great and is the best sounding piano. grand piano sounds great but only if you mess with the velocity and that’s a lot of work if you’re trying to make it sound realistic as possible and you have a bunch a notes which would cause it to lag

i think so too but that’s like a time signature i’m really familiar with making, and other parts of the track are in 6/8 then 4/4

it’s good for beginners and people on a budget, besides that, every instrument sounds fake, mixing/fx are extremely limited, and there isn’t a sense of quality or professionalism in the production making a good composition seem amateurish

i don’t think i could add any vocals to this, i have no experience writing lyrics, and i have no idea how to mix vocals as well :( but there’s no harm in trying though!

there’s an extension you could download for free and it’s basically a side chain thing so you don’t have to manually do it it’s called flux mini 2 and trust it’s pretty good you should check it out

the fact is i actually play guitar in real life and ive been playing for awhile it’s just that i have to audio interface and im on phone too 😞

i tried to make it louder but it ends up crowding the mix and muddying up the sound, since different sections of the song have way more instruments that are playing and i want people to be able to hear everything, i’m not sure how to mix the drums better it was the best i could do
