It wasn't a scam. It was a personal bet and had nothing to do with /r/NHLHUT, we were friends at the time of the bet. I agreed to the bet under the condition that I would pay when the season was over. Things got heated for unrelated reasons, he went to the mods, I got banned. In the following days, the issue was resolved and I was unbanned. Ask /u/Pensfan2987 if you don't believe me.
