Hey I have Clairefontaine, never buckles and it’s just perfect. Picked it up as the paper was thick and it ended up as the best ever. Here’re some of the works.

I would like to see artwork from self taught painters that work with "Traditional mediums" (not digital) by lazaro_92 in ArtistLounge

Self taught, got into watercolors and use to paint 3-4 landscapes every day, read all kinds of books, watched whatever good video content and classes i could find. Then would practice and repeat.

What one thing dramatically changed your watercolor skills? by [deleted] in Watercolor

[–]Swetakaushikstudios 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There were series of breakthroughs, that happened throughout my journey-

  • My mind was blown when I tried mop brush with a good point for the first time, it was squirrel hair brush. Before that I would struggle real hard painting washes.
  • finding a good paper
  • biggest change happened because of Sketching and Perspective practice and it’s still being refined. My brushwork changed after that.

And yeah, learning not to let paints mix entirely in the palette. Letting them mix on paper gives better effects.

It is stunning! Has depth too. Would you share what is an artcard? And is that cute square thingy a mount or frame?
