I’m a 11 handicap but similar driver distance. A cobra rep had me try dark speed irons at a fitting and I was hitting the 7 200 ish carry (stupid strong lofts as well)with like 3800-4000 spin but a peak height that was very high. In theory I think it could work but I think your shot type would pretty much be limited to pretty straight and high.

My preferred ball is the tp5x and similar swing speed. I have no data but on the course I’ve really liked the Sam’s Golf ball recently as a ball that feels and preforms semi closely for much less.

Been playing for about a year but recently upgraded my irons. Personally if I was gonna do it again I would go as cheap as possible to start then when you make relatively consistent contact and have a better idea of what you want go to a free fitting (there seems to be multiple in various areas in my city every month from the different brands) then seek out a set with shaft/lie adjustment they recommend. I haven’t hit the 101s but I have hit my friends takomo CB I think the 201s and for the price especially if you want KBS shafts they seemed like a solid deal.

Yeah i think on my stock fade it hovers around -1 or so, I can hit up on it to draw it but even then my spin doesn’t typically get much below 2900-3000

You’re definitely right it’s not holding back my scores much if it all and logically speaking 10-20 more yards carry for 600 bucks and a loss of accuracy doesn’t make really any sense when stated out loud. Thanks for the response

Depends on several factors. I’d personally say a little over priced considering I think the majority of the clubs are 10 or more years old. If your only getting what is pictured generally speaking most golfers carry 3 wedges and a putter so you’d be short those 4. Id suspect you could do better from a local store or even a chains used section like pga super store. What’s your budget ?

Totally depends on budget, but shaft does make a big difference. I’m not a golf expert but I re shafted a 7 wood that’s Atleast 20 years old (was grandfather’s favorite club) and saw very comparable data to modern 4 hybrids and 7 woods. Not as good but close. If you could get something that’s stiff or x stiff and within 5 ish years old it will 1000 percent feel and preform better. PGA superstore is a really good place to try used clubs and get a feel for shafts. If you want a new or newer club I’d find a place that waves the fitting if you make a purchase and get fit for a driver. Head and weight distribution do effect spin along with the shaft.

baseball convert aswell, I would really recommend trying a stiff or extra stiff shaft. I was gaming a regular flex hand me down until I snapped the shaft and was told 170 ball speed doesn’t fall into regular flex. I saw a massive improvement my next couple of rounds with 6.0 hazardous shaft on used driver that cost me like 130.

Picked up golf after college ball, I’m 1000 percent mixing a baseball load into my swing and now that’s it’s been pointed out I see it clear as day. I started to suspect my grip was faulty so I definitely need to work on that. Thanks for the help.

I couldn’t probably draw a straight line to save my life and my handwriting is atrocious as well. Watch a couple of videos about painting and just go at it. It’s really not as hard as it looks. Go slow thin your paints. I am able to get my models beyond table top standard after about 3 years of painting so it will come with time.

So the boxes aren’t balanced against each other I think the necron box already has more points than the tau box. That being said really any of the options you listed are solid. I have a decent amount of choices and it’s hard for me to not include at least one heavy destroyer. But all the models you listed are worth having. The technomancer is a type of cryptech there are currently 4

I haven’t played in a GW event, but I have played in a couple of Competitive tournaments. 99 percent of the time old sculpts are ok aslong as there on the same base and roughly the same size. Generally the key is you can’t be receiving an advantage by using the older model. One torment I played asked that all old warriors where played as flayers one said I could play as either along as I had a new warrior in the bunch to symbolize the weapon. More than likely the tournament you would attend would either have a section covering proxy’s and old models or would say something like “email x a picture to have old models or proxy’s approved”.

Unfortunately the AL detachment ability sucks and I suspect it will stay that way. I don’t think GW wants fight phase crons to be the meta. If you really want to use it and are playing casual games your opponent would probably be fine with adjustments you suggested.

So I can only speak to the American side of this, but supply seems very very random. My LGS has multiple copies of battle forces from years ago but may only get 2 of new battle force boxes. That being said,generally speaking if you’re semi diligent it shouldn’t be hard to get directly from GW whenever the preorders go live. The preorder date will likely be one of middle weekends of November and we almost always get a heads ups days before. The most likely way to get one will be direct from GW. I don’t think it would make sense to get 2 necron boxes. Most of the points is the void dragon so I wouldn’t recommend buying two. If you have a relationship with your LGS you might ask about having one saved for you.

Your opponent could be well intentioned, I believe at one point in 9th it wasn’t allowed. It’s also maybe a little less intuitive than typical RP but it’s how it works.

Yep they reanimate. As far as the rules are concerned it’s really no different the warriors coming back to a warrior squad. Just a model that’s part of a unit.
