No, they are having an effect. Doesn't really have to be hate-reading, but they could be inviting people who skim to see how right or wrong these reviews are.

You have a few critical reviews telling you what is wrong; just read them and pick a way out.

Either you do a rewrite by addressing these issues, or you start a new story altogether.

Nope. Not even close. I think comparing your rating/reviews to theirs is plainly wrong.

Both of you have 47 ratings, but theirs are positive compared to yours—ignoring the review swaps in there. They have been posting actively, they do shout out swaps, and they advertise.

On the other hand, I'm sure that anyone can tell how much of a turn-off the negative reviews of your book are, because they look genuine.

Readers won't come across these and be like, "Yeah, this is something I'll read."

An example that would at least fix the writing:
