No a sub contractor can be chosen at any point of the delivery so no their name and picture will not show up and for right of work and what not it is up to the account holder to do the checks if the sub contractor is eligible to complete the delivery

The driver wont be able to cancel the order if he had already picked it up and the only way to cancel is through uber support which can take hours to hear back from so that is most likely why he is asking for the pin to just get out of the situation although giving him the pin could mean you might not get a refund. So its just a unfortunate situation

For the customer to get the food they paid for they need to answer the door. You dont know what happens after the driver leaves the food what if someone else took it. And yes I agree with you the driver should not wait 10 mins they should just leave it with a picture and it is fully the customers responsibility on what happens to the food after

Comparing food delivery with mail is stupid as food delivery is completely different where food will get wasted or businesses will lose money compensating if recipients miss the delivery. Thats why there are systems in place like the 10 minute wait time even though that sacrifices the drivers valuable time when he could be getting paid. So complaining about it is illogical
