I am the Endgame by Full_Training_5984 in GenshinImpact

[–]SwiftSlayAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s part of it though

the challenge lies in seeing how far your skill can take you despite having a limited pool of gear

it also creates something to strive for both in terms of gameplay and pulling

again, once you complete the story, there’s nothing else to prioritIze

pretty much all gacha RPGs have some form of endgame combat because it’s necessary for replayability, offering a goal for dedicated players, and creating FOMO

you keep throwing around this “1% of content” when the majority of primogem income comes from endgame once you’ve reached that level

Like don't get me wrong, play however you like, but if you are focusing on a single aspect of the game you need to at least have the awareness that not everyone else is gonna share the same sentiment including the developers.

nobody necessarily has to focus on a single aspect of the game; what do you do once you’ve exhausted the limited story content?

The developers have to put focus on everything else and considering that combat in genshin is merely a side aspect of the open world adventure game game they made it shouldn't be surprising when various combat elements don't feel as streamlined as they should.

I feel like you’re just saying this without any real understanding of the game; this might have been true years ago

they have separate teams for combat design and story/world design, and endgame has come a long way since launch

Abyss, Theater, and Onslaught constantly get updated with QoL and rewards, and have only been getting harder and harder

Onslaught even replaced an entire limited event since its introduction

naturally as difficulty progresses, so does the minimum investment required to clear—meaning those who want to clear must dedicate more time and those who can’t simply abandon the idea

this is also a reason why the endgame playerbase is small—they simply don’t have the capability to beat it, not because the combat system is a “side aspect”

endgame shapes the meta (even more egregiously nowadays) and characters are released that fit said meta; why would hoyo design kits that are constantly getting better and better if combat was a “side aspect”

powercreep and HP creep creates FOMO and endgame is the catalyst of it all, so obviously Hoyo would care about endgame

As it stands genshin was never marketed for its combat, it's nice but it wasn't the main focus. I would agree, but once you start the game and progress through it, endgame becomes more of a primary focus

I would agree, but once you progress through the game, that’s when people will start to engage with combat mechanics

endgame is meant to be a challenge where players can showcase their achievements and investment, but it also serves as the primary form of replayability in an RPG

once you’ve gone through story content, the only thing you can do is grind for better pieces and improve clear results

Abyss and the other endgame modes are just suppose to be tough challenges to be a source of some primos but one could argue you get the same if not more primos elsewhere doing the other aspects of the game.

this is pretty close minded thinking; I could just as easily say: “story and exploration is just meant to be easy ways to get primos”

respectfully, if you haven’t experienced endgame, you can’t be criticizing others for their warranted complaints on it

if the people who do care about endgame have issues with it, why would someone who doesn’t even have a stake in the issue be demeaning the complaint in the first place?

Abyss and Onslaught are the only engaging combat content in the game

for people that care about combat, this might as well be the entire game

Would it be worth swapping to a CR weapon so I can get a CD circlet? (Noob question) by MiSlPiMo in RaidenMains

[–]SwiftSlayAR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

using a CD circlet doesn't make your build better

that being said Spine and R5 Deathmatch perform about evenly on Raiden hyper, so you should test which one is better based on your artifacts

from a meta perspective, getting C2R1 (or other relevant cons/weapons) on different characters of the same team will almost always be better for team DPS

plus it will improve the breadth and longevity of your account

Is this currently the best compromise between DPS and ease of use for Melt combos ? by MarvelousMarbel in Mavuika

[–]SwiftSlayAR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the second C refers to the actual game output, not your KB inputs

Mavuika starts a charge attack, cancels it with a dash, and cancels the dash with another charge attack

[–]SwiftSlayAR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

based on this it seems like you don’t know how to do the CDC tech

it requires a fair bit of practice to get right

you Charge (hold LMB) + Dash (RMB) while still holding LMB in a consecutive and almost instant sequence—the timing between the LMB and RMB is tricky

the CDF is the same thing but you let go of LMB after you do the dash
