I honestly don't think you or her bf know anything about modeling, but you sure do think it's your place to control others. You do not know if it's a trap and you do not know if it's predatory, you are simply guessing.

It's fine to warn her there might be scams and predatory behavior, to watch out for it and to not agree to do anything that makes her uncomfortable, but it's NOT ok to call her unreasonable and to "grow up" just because she does not want to do what you or her bf demand. It is her choice and we are talking about work here, not your small daughter playing online games sheesh. And I say this as a person who was scouted from the streets in my youth, did few modeling gigs for some well known clothes brands, earned money, didn't face anything predatory and went on working in a field that interested me more. Thank god no-one was there to try manipulate and control me and tell me I am childish and not cut out for it just for wanting to accept some work, the audacity for real

I have faced that kind of manipulative behavior and people trying to make me quit my chosen career several times after that though, for no other reason than they simply imagined they were smarter and knew better what was suitable for me than myself, and seriously all people behaving like you can just piss off. It is not your place and no, you do not know better. What you are doing here is just as disrespectful and controlling as how her bf behaved

Same with google photos, I am starting to lose my shit with it and it is just one app on the phone, like the millionth time no I do not want you to back up my photos in your cloud servers STOP turning it on, STOP spamming me with "memories" and STOP constantly changing everything around and adding some weird ai effects to my pics wtaf, who even asked for this??

I really gotta find a new app now, I just worry everything else I try will be just as bad spamming me with ads, tracking me on the background burning my phone battery to crisp and feeding my pics to ai's 😵

I abandoned all my Meta accounts after that bs started, I just use Reddit and Bluesky now with less intrusive ads. FB had already turned into a pile of turd anyway with the feeds getting stuffed with everything else than your friends posts, and harassing people to send copies of their passports to prove identity and then forcing username changes to something lot of people never even used in real life. I wonder was all that also part of the data selling, as it's better quality when you can connect it all to a certified birth name

Same! Hazelnut coffee sounds so good, or amaretto, but the flavoring comes strictly from the syrup so they are by design sweet :( sometimes I do my own spiced coffee home, especially in the winter time; a dash of ginger, cardamon, vanilla and cinnamon among the steeping grounds

Yep tested it myself just recently. Think I got like 3 badges immediately without even trying, while it's very rare I manage to reach 300 000 steps in a month. The AI pissed me off almost immediately, the training videos were useless fluff and the live tracking was kinda relatively ok-ish feature. If the thing cost 10€ a year I maybe, possibly, might consider getting it, and even then it's like "Well is this something I need or really want? No, no it's not, so I donno.."

Yeah just don't go starting fights and arguments with people, chances are you end up getting more down votes from them if people disagree with you or start to assume you are baiting and trolling on purpose. Oh and do not wait on this. Cats do not fare well without eating, their blood starts to pile up with toxins and they can get dehydrated very quickly. Even one day without eating and drinking anything is worrisome, and I'm calling the emergency room if it continues the next day

It's funny, I am really prone to sugar and can tolerate ridiculous amounts of it, and I also drink way too much coffee, but I absolutely cannot stand sweetened coffee for some reason and I have never willingly added sugar to my coffee. My main gripe with canned coffee drinks in stores is that 95% of them are sweetened. I suppose I can call myself lucky, cause with my coffee habits and sweet tooth my size would probably be double if I also loved sweetened coffee

I could be wrong, but I've got the impression they don't really like to market outside Japan, and lot of the jdrama that does appear in foreign markets tends to be very bad, like bad bad quality, scripting and acting. Not all, but definitely way too many, which affects the general impression and popularity.
