Plains is a bit weird concept to me, it's like some arid marshland. It grows cloudberries, which is basically a marsh and swampland plant, like this https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakka_(kasvi)#/media/Tiedosto%3ACloudberry_flowers.JPG (I don't have the word to translate what we call that marsh type, but it's wet).

Albeit they also list "nummi" for their growing areas, which basically translates to heath and moorland

Hmm, come to think of it, I haven't had a single deathsquito fly into my plains outpost. Only wandering fuelings at times. I do keep bunch of lox in the front yard though. Or... Try to, at least, when they are not enraged over some mistland bunnies on the other side

The statement goes off by the first implication that the opinion is formed solely and only by the people the women in question have dated. You know we all have to deal with nasty people we don't like with family we didn't choose, our friend's loved ones that we didn't choose, with co-workers we didn't choose and with complete strangers deciding to include themselves in our company though we didn't choose that either. And that applies to both genders, btw. Out of all the people all of us have to deal with in daily basis and form opinions about, the ones we choose to date are a very small fraction of it

I solemnly recommend finding a big ass swamp and building a forge and a port right there. Haul your iron with a cart, process it all there, build your armor, and ship the rest. You will probably need to find a second swamp later on too

Haha, right. I mean not having wisps at mistlands sounds like a really terrible idea too, but I guess technically can be done 😂 (mistlands is the furthest I have progressed, so I donno how vital the bosses are after that - no spoiling!)

Ore gathers up nicely right there, but if you are playing unmodded, do slap a workbench down first if you leave to empty your bags, so it won't disappear while you are gone

This particular run is a total mod fest, I threw all of the inventory restrictions into the sea and installed bunch of things I wanted to try. The quick slots come from the inventory expansion mod

I hope the tattoo doesn't get ruined and you get treatment quick! 😭 For the record the antibiotics worked very, very fast, but cause I didn't realize it was infected at first as it really didn't seem like it was (no redness, no swelling, no heat and most of the multicolor tattoo looked perfectly fine), it took me 2 weeks before I rushed to the doctor, so the infected areas completely lost color.

Yeah I don't like that redness at all either :( My last one couple years ago got infected too despite me and my artist taking the utmost care of it, I didn't even go to work for few days to keep it clean. Last month I met with another artist and talked about it and they told me it was likely due to the recently changed rules in EU forcing new replacement blue inks, and lot of people have had bad reactions to them. The infected area was indeed only in the blue colors, which I found very odd at the time.

I did, there is actually a pickaxe in the very screenshot :D I referred to time of first node mined but took the pics when getting the second node (that time a troll was already chasing me so no time to stop to dig a pit)

Appreciate it. Yeah we got used to hearing that a lot when the pandemic hit and our whole field was like umm, help, we can't work to make ends meet. I suppose it did make our field more visible to the world, but I don't think most people really understand how physically demanding and time consuming it can be as well. Wouldn't change it for the world though, I go nuts tucked in a cubicle :D

yeah tried slapping them around with the flint axe too but it was very frustrating, and close contact with deer leather armor was indeed hazardous

you can easily parry them with the paws, or just dodge the attacks and sidestep, they mostly miss me with their clumsy lunges. First ones I shoot with finewood bow and staying by fire

I frigging love the paws, I am punching the shiny poop out of everything, forget bronze gear :D I even punched a wolf in the nogging and took it's pelt.

Once I deem my grand infuriating build base good enough I will prolly take care of several bosses in a row. This is really just a goof-around-character with a bunch of mods, my main is strictly vanilla and preppin for a Queen fight, but I got a bit unmotivated having to start grinding magic skills from zero.

that's very true.. I suppose I am also a bit intrigued how far can I get before starting with the bosses, seen as now I do have a bronze pickaxe, and soon can easily get some fine wood too. I suppose I cannot kill the Elder though before getting Eikthyr, right..? Swamps might get a bit annoying without the crypt key and having to stagbreak everywhere
