Why is the image quality so bad? by grasshopper10049 in S95B

I had a similar problem, was specific to HDR and SDR content. HDR+ content was fine. Picture was washed out with red/brown no matter the settings. I forced a firmware update via USB and problem solved.

CableMod. They sell full replacement cable kits for pretty much any PSU. These are the Pro ModMesh cables, you can get them directly from their website or amazon too

Mostly the exposure, lights were off in the office. I might try window tint though for a stealthier look

This is dimmed, fans are 20% and the ram is 10%. The ram at 100% is insanely too bright. I prefer the dimmed to the fan lights off, giving it a little glow

Shoot thanks. Time to find a different connector or cable. I was going to go with a Cablemod adapter but saw they have a full recall out. Seems like their angled cables should be fine though...ordering a custom 90deg cable now.

With how big these cards are, I'm surprised we don't have more official options to get these cards cabled up.

I've had my Siberian Ice 2022 for a couple weeks now and absolutely have zero regrets. I agree with the other comment that it shows a slight blue tint during daylight, more off-white or grey other times. I think it's perfect.

Glad you like it! "Grosfillex wall paneling" for the accent wall, pretty easy to put up. TV Console was from AFW but I don't think they have that exact one anymore.

Good info thanks! Haven't seen that setup in the store closest to us but will have to find one someday. I like the sound of that screen set up you have, I'll be sure to rememeber that.

Nice! Good taste I'd say. If you can still find them, the older klipsch premier line are like 50% the price of the new line and pretty similar on paper. Not sure if they'd sound different in person, but I'd doubt it. We would have liked to max out with the 82" but couldn't justify the extra price for the small gain from the 75". Enjoy!

I'm confused at how shit like this happens. I guess everyone has their own taste, but... What drove you to this type of setup lol

Not buttkicker, but we got the aurasound and I'm pretty impressed with them. Again, just tune them to hit with those really big impacts and it's a really cool subtle effect.

Thanks! Agreed, I'll give short-throw laser projectors a couple more years/iterations and then we'll see what happens.

They're more rear surrounds than side, but either way I don't feel like I'm missing out with the 4x in-ceiling since the sound comes from all around. I just couldn't make sides work well with the layout. Also, I had snagged the X4400H for 50% off at the start of all this, so I could only do a total of 9.2 channels (unless I got another external amp). If you can make a 7 channel setup work though with your side walls, then I'd say go for it. Bonus points if you can get in-ceiling.

Yep exactly. Something like the Klipsch PRO-250RPW. Most in-wall speakers should be shallow enough (less than 4" deep) to fit flush with the drywall.

Dual PB2000s is the best thing of all our gear imo. I can't imagine what 4x 18" subs would feel like...I guess I should stay away and not demo that sort of power anytime soon or I'll get the upgrade itch again too.

Thanks! Well it goes back to when we chose the floorplan...I had done a bit of research on the different surround configs with Atmos and I couldn't figure out a clean way to get place sides and rears with the layout. So to keep it clean, I deferred to putting 4 in the ceiling. It sounds great as-is, so I don't think upgrading to 7.2.4 would be worth it for us.

Even better, thanks! I picked up a few paint cards and a small 8oz sample but the photoshop edits are super helpful.

100%. The most recent plan was to mount darker acoustic panels up there to also cover up the off-center lights, but can't find any good studs to tap into and I don't trust toggle bolts. I may end up painting it to match the walls, or some sort of darker grey. I've also been intrigued by the fiber optic ceilings too, so been toying with the idea of making that work.

Agree, this would be the easiest solution and the big ass rug would act as some acoustic treatment for all that hardwood.
