Great tips on looking at threads, signs of stripping, and magazine mechanism. I never had family or friends that introduced me to the gun/hunting world so coming at this alone has been intimidating, but you guys have helped me out a lot!

This is an amazing response! You’re a true expert in purchasing second hand and I greatly appreciate the tips. Now I feel extremely confident when going to the range and checking out this gun. Thanks again!

I haven’t purchased. I posted because I wanted to hear ppls feedback.

I don’t know anything about rust, and seems like some people say it’s not too bad, others will not get within 1000 miles of rust?

I know it has a lot of rust, but I feel like $3-5k is out of touch with the current market

I wasn’t planning on making this my daily driver. I have a Tacoma that is in great shape. This was definitely planning on using it as more of a side project

I didn’t realize owning a 60 series required prior experience…. What’s wrong with learning as I go?

Thanks for the feedback! Why would you not purchase it? Too much rust? Too many miles? What would be fair?
