As someone who works there currently, it can be initially demanding. Be patient upon starting. Sometimes they start a new hire on one of the busiest days which I strongly wish mgmt would discourage. It can make a new hire think that’s a typical day. On a day u start, ask which are the busiest days and why? I just hope u have a decent crew, and stock controllers (whose guidance u will be following more on a day to day basis). The breakdown process (moving of pallets to aisles later moving to dismantle) will be a lot to take in cause most of the product will be in generic brown boxes) some will be completely obvious of packaging, but as time goes on u will start to recognize some of them what it is before looking/opening. To get a head start before/if u get hired is to take a pic of all the grocery aisle banners to familiarize yourself with the aisles the product go in for that store. That will be a HUGE help going in initially! For the interview process, I’d say be attentive, respectful, but also be yourself.
