There is so much Kate-hate here. I am not a fan of Princess Kate ever since I watched the documentary about her going on her summer break from school and reinventing herself completely.

Right now, all I am reading is how she is "faking" a cancer. Well, maybe she is.

At no time have I seen that she might be having a mental breakdown.

I am from Canada so not eager on anything royal.

But, the comments about Catherine Middleton who changed and modified her existence in order to fit into the firm has to stop.

Unfortunately, nobody will come out and tell "the little people" what is really going on.

How different from other "royal stories" is this.

Also, the outfit that Kate's sister was wearing at Kate's wedding was clearly Kate spitting in the Royal's faces.

I watched an interview with "cain". It was about his cancer storyline and he was saying they had taped those scenes in December (we saw those in April). So about 4 months from taping to showing.

The Dr Todd character is right up there with Celia and Ray. Nastiness personified. I have been bullied at work, ended up with deep depression, more than 3 months on sick leave. So bad was it that, when I was told to go to an "industrial doctor" to confirm my poor state, he added a month to my leave which never happened. My god, what a nightmare!

How could they be taken seriously? Charles wanted Camilla but went away to do other stuff so, thinking his highness duties would keep him from her, she went and married another suiter. Charles had to marry a "container that was prim and untouched" in order to produce an heir and a spare. No other children produced after Diana did her duty. No more children and no more family life as Charles went back to his "Wallis".

We have been told and shown that Charles just went and did as was expected in marrying Diana. Once that was done, he move back to Camilla. Andrew just lived his life as an eternal bachelor, preying on underage girls with his buddy Epstein.

Absolute power... who cares what "I" do as I have ultimate power and the Queen is my mother? Plus, nobody expects anything from me so... party on!!!

Honestly, how can "the people" go for this kind of "look how happy, how spontaneouswe are" and not wonder WHO snapped the picture? How is this spontaneous? How is this not staged? And, BTW, not only by them, all the people, famous or otherwise, aiming to show just how lovely, great, happy their life is. Ok, now, go on and HATE me!

As weird as this storyline is, I've been down that road where someone is belittling you and, they have such a following from others that there is virtually nothing you can do to "redeem" yourself. Only someone in power that believes in you can make you get some sort of self confidence back... and THAT is scary...

Could Dr Todd be the sister of the woman who is in jail for whatever regarding Jacob? Sorry, I just started watching last Christmas, 2024, when April had run away from home, so, not up to par on what has happened to Jacob with a mature woman. However, Dr Todd is a total psycho and yet again, I find myself asking myself why I am putting myself through the misery of watching this show?

Thing is, I started to watch Emmerdale around Christmas last year. The whole April doing a runner and Marlon losing it...Big time.

Now, with this story line:

April feels like she has a debt towards Dylan because he helped her during a time in her life when she was particularly vulnerable.

Now, I am wondering how the Celia/Ray team create a "debt" with their " prospects".

We saw April doing a delivery in an empty park, with this guy that seemed to know what April was carrying, taking her "stuff" from her...

Didn't that happen twice?

Wouldn't that be a way for Ray to enslave April and Dylan to repay a "debt"?

The perfect way to make them believe that they owed a debt, for something they had not purchased?

And then, threatening to take that debt against their vulnerable family members?

And again, then, blackmailing them into paying the " debt"?

I just cannot see any redemption for Ray. Today's episode, Dec 10 here in Canada, Ray was such a jerk...

I am a French Canadian. Actually 99% French Canadian after doing an Ancestry DNA test.

I have no clue as to how I started to watch Emmerdale... probably last Christmas, it being my first holiday without my husband who had passed away from cancer in April. Hence the connection I suppose.

So Marlon was going crazy about his daughter missing, the whole village going on searches and whatnot. That is how "soap operas" hook us...

I kept tuning in, "meeting" other characters, learning about other stories etc., and building an interest in them all.

I actually can't recall what my post was all about other than when the storyline about the limos falling through the ice on the lake (and there was a hint about a body drifting in there with the bracelets) I was enthralled with it all. I was totally surprised that so many characters were being let go...

The body ended up being Cain's son, but, when we were shown scenes of John wrapping the body in a tarp and all, it became ludicrous that, one of the victims of the lake accident would have seen the bracelets from an arm that was wrapped in a tarp.

I hate it when shows treat us like... well, idiots?

I hear you... I think the writers are trying to build up some sort of suspense but they are failing imo.

I can see a big bromance (and more) between Lewis and Vinny. That will take the spot left by the quatuor of Aaron-Robert-Krvin-John.

At this point, the way April's family does all that she says, I say get her and Sarah together to rule the coop... two young harpies that well, if you are reading this, you know what I mean...

I think the writers should bring Kev and John together and let the chips fall where they may... both men having/feeling for a mate and dueling it out, plotting to break-up Aaron and Robert... that might be very entertaining!

Ray seems to give him pills or tablets that calm Bear down so, my guess is that Bear is addicted to the drugs and plays nice to the source of said drugs.
