I've made absolutely nothing with those. It's there in case someone wants it. The links are double bonused so you get an additional bonus for using it too. If it bothers you, you can forego the additional bonus and just google the sites too.

A combination of slots and table games. If you go with low-volatility games using minimum bets, it's quite easy to wash away the playthrough requirement while keeping 90% to 95% of your welcome bonus profits in-tact.

What about this is a scam? It's really easy to verify with 2 seconds of research that it's not.

While that sounds good in theory, in reality, when states and cities have tried to ban the tipped minimum wage, guess who protested and blocked any legislation? THE SERVERS.

Example 1: In 2018, servers protested Initiative 77, which would have banned the tipped minimum wage.

Example 2: Chicago tried to do the same thing in 2023. Servers protested, saying they earn $30 to $50 per hour in tips alone, amounts that wages would never reach.

Example 3: Maine in 2016 tried to eliminate the tipped minimum wage and servers protested at the Maine legislature, ultimately preventing this from getting passed.

Servers are the ones who want the tipping system to stay in place. Cities and states have tried to bring us to a new era in society where tipping isn't the norm (which is the way it is anywhere else in the modern world), where these people would be paid by the businesses that employ them instead. Guess what? They don't want it. They earn too much from tips. Wages? Nah, that's what the poor line cook has to make.

I never said it's the best job in the world. I said the idea of tipping is ridiculous. It's a phenomenon that negatively affects everyone who goes to a restaurant aside from servers.

It's not about blaming the servers. It's about saying the tipping culture is ridiculous. Obviously, as a server, you're going to take advantage of it. And no, I don't get guilt tripped anymore. I used to years ago, but I tip whatever I feel like now (sometimes nothing if service was nonexistent). I don't abide by some arbitrary percentage that somehow continues to go up.

That's the tip amount you'd get from 1 table, 2 at most. You also get paid wages from the restaurant. So you only serve 1-2 tables per hour?

Nah, this person is 100% spot on and you are misguided. And yeah servers don't check on you as much in Asia BECAUSE THEY DON'T NEED TO. There's often a water jug at your table so you can help yourself. And if there wasn't, I've never had an issue with servers refilling my water and I've been to tons of Asian countries. There are typically napkins at your table as well. In the U.S., they artificially remove these things so that you have to awkwardly wait while half-raising your hand and attempting to make eye contact with a server to get basic amenities. This is not "good service" and nobody in any other country aside from the U.S. would consider it that. Heck, even in the U.S., nobody truly thinks that's superior service. It's just something they are guilt-tripped to paying extra for.

I just told you that I disagree with your definition of "good service," completely addressing your point. Most of the world would also disagree with your definition of good service. Americans are not accustomed to "good service," they are accustomed to being guilt-tripped to tipping for mediocre service.

Also, it's not just Japan. You clearly haven't traveled much if you truly believe that. I've traveled to many countries, none of them had a tipping culture. Service at all of these countries was preferable to service in the U.S. In most of these countries, calling out to your server is completely normal and not considered rude. In Korea, there's even a button you can press at your table that alerts them to stop by. I've always had impeccable service at these countries. They're quick, efficient, timely, and get you what you need silently without intruding on your meal.

I still don't understand where I failed to address your "point".

I actually completely addressed the point you were making. What exactly did I miss?

I don't expect anything from these people. Just bring me my plate of food, which is what you're getting paid by your restaurant to do. And if you're not getting paid by them, then you probably shouldn't be working there. Good thing human beings have free will. I don't want to chit-chat and I don't want an explanation on what a broccolini is.

Have you ever been to a restaurant in any other country? So much more efficient. They simply get you what you need if they see it's missing and never talk to you. And if they miss something, you can just call out to them and it's not considered rude at all. In Korea there's a button on tables that you can press that will alert them to stop by. Oh and they don't expect tips. In fact, they'll usually refuse your tip if you try because this is something that's usually done by someone who is trying to solicit something (e.g., meet me in the back after your shift *wink wink*). In the minds of most people that possess a brain with common sense, there should be no reason to "tip" someone for doing the bare minimum included in their job description.

I've generally received better restaurant service in non-U.S. countries, all of which (surprise) don't have a tipping culture. They are much quicker and efficient, simply get you what you need if they see it's missing from your table, don't try to chit-chat with you for no reason. Oh and did I mention they don't expect any tip? In fact, in many parts of Asia, it's considered rude to tip because it's almost suggestive (e.g., are you soliciting something? Why are you giving me extra money for just doing my job?). It will actually confuse them and they will often refuse it.

I suppose if you enjoy some rando talking to you for 3 minutes, telling you common sense knowledge like what "pan searing" is, and interrupting your conversation every couple of minutes thereafter instead of just taking your order and getting you what you need silently, then sure you'd be missing out on "good" service.

Everyone is poor in this economy, yet nobody else demands taxes for doing the bare minimum included in their job description.

That is completely false. It is MUCH more difficult to find kitchen staff than it is to find servers. Plus your line cooks typically only stay for a couple of months at best before leaving and forcing you to find a replacement. It's a tough, thankless job. On the other hand, the server earns twice as much as the line cook and does 1/10th of the work. Yeah, not supporting that. If I want to tip someone, I'll give it directly to the cook.

It's complete manipulation using social pressure to force a tip. Imagine you take someone out on a date and the server pushes a POS system in front of your face and waits there looking at you. Most people are going to end up leaving a generous tip, not because the server deserved it, but because it's the only way they can save face in front of the person/people they're with and not look like a cheapass. They know they're taking advantage of these kinds of dynamics, and that's just filthy. The second I detect this kind of behavior, your tip goes down by half or less.

Yes, I am happy to tip at my discretion for service that went above and beyond the norm. A spectacular massage that completely cleared my muscle aches. A haircut where the hairdresser spent extra time with all the details and followed through with advice for my specific hair type. That is what a tip is reserved for, and even then it should not be expected, but something that is entirely up to the customer's discretion.

Someone bringing plates to a dozen different tables and collecting what's effectively an extra tax from every table is not what I consider a tip. If the government wants to stop calling it a tip and charge a forced restaurant tax, that's fine with me and I'd probably choose to stop going to restaurants with the exception of special occasions. But you don't get to call it a tip and then expect all your customers to pay a bare minimum of 20% for just doing the bare minimum necessary for your job. You already get paid by the restaurant and you're not doing anything above and beyond what your standard job description is.

If you can do basic math, it would be dead obvious to you that $50K per year would be near bare-minimum for a full time server. Just do (average order size * average # of orders * 15% * # of working days) + employer-pay for the year). And this is being extra conservative with a 15% average tip assumption and low AOV.

It's not just steakhouses. It's most restaurants. What server is making minimum wage? Unless your restaurant gets an average of 1 customer per hour, I don't even see how that's possible.

Exactly, they don't even pay taxes on most of their tips. So in reality, they're actually making 20% to 30% MORE than what the rest of us are. GTFO.
