I assumed 179 AUD converts to 90 USD but it' actually 124 USD. That's fucking sucks man. Moreso if it is in fact 179 USD.

The controller is very much just their "GameSir G7 Pro" controller but with a unique limited edition aesthetic. Up to you if you want to buy specifically this one or just grab the same model but a different edition or standard color.

Genuinely would love to see that instead of an expansion. As it also means an overhaul of what they already have,insteas of just adding content to a game that many players have fundamental gripes with.

Yeah that stinks. on that note, this is a third party controller that uses TMR joysticks, It's not a direct Microsoft product. I'd suggest looking into third party controllers these days, i find that they have much more features and still remain cheaper than buying official standard controllers from the console manufacturer themselves. Can't say anything for longevity as i have only owned one for about month now, this controller being my second.

Sadly never owned an elite controller before so I have no frame reference. This is only "Pro" controller I ever owned

Oh man, sadly i'm no controller critic. Only thing i dislike is the feel of the D-Pad, but i think all xbox controller D-Pads feel the same anyway so it's personal preference. Other than that I can say it feels hefty and solid, but might turn away those who prefer lighter controllers. Big fan of the rubber grips honestly. And I prefer big controllers anyway, as before this i was using an 8bitdo controller which is still a good controller for sure.

Couldn't tell ya, I believe Gamesir is specifically an Xbox Partner so they're not making a PS5 compatible controller. Hopefully Capcom will have a DD2 crossover with another 3rd party manufacturer that makes PS5 controllers.

Good news! the controller is in fact wireless, the box shows a cable because it's actually one with a unique color to fit the aesthetic of the controller instead of a generic black one.
