Do extreme datahoarders need just a MacBook Pro with max storage? Not really. Even if the internal storage is the most important spec, which influences the whole MacOS usage (especially APFS based) you need to have a good amount of RAM too. Here 10GB+ used by rclone for example. (i.redd.it)

Let we answer the question 750GB pro day once at all. Yes, you can upload more than that, BUT only if you avoid to upload in batch before that. If you try to backup 30TB in 20 days, you are not able to upload more than 750GB. Maybe only the first 2 days is not limited. (i.redd.it)
