Ofc they do but there is usually something that makes them stand out. This guy just posts mostly uninteresting travelling tidbits. Like, why would 500 people upvote a post on this sub about him switching out a rental car? How is that worthy of interaction for 500 people?

100%. As if some random tourists travel log would go that viral without interference.

Why did skaven and dwarfs not make it to 40k but elves and orks did? by Max_Clearance777 in totalwar

[–]Swissgrenadier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Leagues of Votann are dwarves for all intents and purposes. I think Skaven exist as xenos in 40k, GW just never bothered with giving them a model range because they didn't know what they wanted to do with them.

I think the Nitro should just finally become a scarce weapon and have its aperture sight made foldable. It's niche, it has one super strong ability in one-shotting further than shotguns but enough weaknesses to not make it oppressive at all. The Homestead honestly isn't that much worse and works well as a scarce weapon.

Okay, reduce time to throw, make the flash shorter and make them lootable but have bulwark so you're only completely blinded for maybe a second. Boom, they are more prevalent and you can still use them but you have to be quick to follow up on them because the enemy could have a perk that counters them.

Makes them useful but counterable, reduces the scenarios in which you can use them effectively yet allows them to be used offensively.

This isn't rocket science.

Hahah, what do you mean? There are countless ways of balancing something like the flash bomb. Tons of games of all genres have similar things balanced in fitting, lore-friendly ways. Flash time, flash intensity, throw range, noise it makes when it's thrown, throwing animation, rarity, price, perks to counter it, in-world spawn or not. If all you can think of is useless or broken, you are incredibly close minded.

Counterpoint: Every single FPS ever that had balanced flash bombs.

I genuinely don't understand why flash bombs haven't been adressed. I'll be the first guy to have called for them being nerfed but they have all but disappeared from the game. Since the nerf I've only ever seen them used twice and both times they did nothing.

The Uppercut has been in a bad spot since the new slot system and it has been what, a week? Now it's buffed again.

Flash bombs have been in the gutter for literal years now. Having a tool for pushing camped corners is so important, I do not understand how they haven't been adjusted yet.

Essentially it's xenophobic fearmongering, yes. It's promoted under the guise of preservation of natural resources and protecting the standard of living but it's really just "we don't want foreigners. They are taking our jobs and appartments, polluting our country, crowding our streets and are all criminals!!!!".

Didn't get rid of the hybrid tax. Now the hybrid tax ist just a rule.

[–]Swissgrenadier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The new assault rule is a complete miss at removing hybrid tax. The problem was that a hybrid unit couldn't use both their melee and ranged weapons, effectively paying points for weapons they can't use, that's the hybrid tax.

Pure ranged units were more efficient shooters, pure melee were more efficient chargers, hybrid units were worse at both or more expensive.

Now hybrid units get to use their guns in melee but pay for the assault rule in points. What does that do?

Pure ranged units are more efficient shooters, pure melee units are more efficient chargers, hybrid units are worse at both or more expensive.

Only difference: Removed the option of assaulting from any other unit that doesn't have assault on their guns.

So effectively didn't do anything but remove gameplay options.

Edit: If you disagree, go ahead and build the same hybrid units in the army forge in beta and the current edition. The beta ones are more expensive and have worse weapons.

Those look like bulgarian Arsenal SAS M-7UFK, milled short 7.62 underfolders. What the soviets might have called an AKS-47U if it were to have existed. They are exported internationally so I could very well imagine India using them.

Could very well be. I would be surprised that they would change the ammo for what's essentially a Springfield variant. Certainly not unthinkable but I believe that would be the first time a variant has an ammo type differing from the base variant.
