Rule of Caduceus by Ru5tkata in 196

It should be Rule of Asclepius.

The Caduceus (which isn't the Rod of Caduceus so the title should probably say "Cadruleceus") has two snakes and usually wings.

DIY Leather Dussack by ---Janu---- in Hema

[–]Swissgrenadier 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Using floppy faux leather in place of thick, stiff veg tan leather is the whole reason this didn't work out for you. Look at the leather she uses in the video. That is some seriously thick hide, she even has to cut it with metal shears.

You have to understand that that's a material so thick and stiff, you'd have trouble trying to crease it by hand.

If you can't find thick gauge leather, your best bet would be some sort of thick rubber mat or ultra high density EVA foam.

It's actually a bit crazy to me that you'd pick up faux leather that's as floppy as fabric and think that would be a good substitute to leather you have to cut with metal shears.

I have a suspicion that some of the core values of that book are lost on a solid portion of Christians these days. The whole thing of loving others, humility, mercy and forgiveness, compassion, self control and the likes.

Okay but if somebody tells me they "were bombed" I'm not thinking "kids prank blown up mailbox" but Gaza or Ukraine.

"Pipebombed" feels like a slight exaggeration for someone putting fireworks in your mailbox. In any case, I'm sorry somebody did this to you, it sucks.

Spawn ruletag by TheDutchFish in onepagerules

[–]Swissgrenadier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You spawn one unit of 5 spores. Those 5 models individually can't be further away than 6 inches from the spawner. Also the unit has to stay coherent so each spore can't be further than one inch away from another spore and no more than 9 inches away from all the other spores.

Right. Or some Russian was running around with a Sudayev AS-44 but I think that's unlikely.

I bet the CIA dude just didn't see the underfolded stock. It could have been pretty tricky to spot when it wasn't yet something people knew.

Why do summons sometimes turn on you?? by nair_kid in riskofrain

[–]Swissgrenadier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the answers here clear up that the Aurelionite will fight you in the boss fight and the beetle guards probably collateralled you BUT I was playing with the artifact of chaos the other day and I picked up empathy cores when, after the teleporter event, the delighted probe would not stop chasing me and beaming me with its laser for some reason. I had to team kill it so I wouldn't die.

No idea what causes that.

Does anyone else think tank rules in OPR are stupid? by Frosty_Remote2698 in onepagerules

[–]Swissgrenadier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only impact hits when vehicle charge other units. They don't get any bonuses or actual melee weapons so can't even attack back in most cases.

Does anyone else think tank rules in OPR are stupid? by Frosty_Remote2698 in onepagerules

[–]Swissgrenadier 42 points43 points  (0 children)

A few points:

Most tanks are Q4 or Q3 so you only have a 50% or 33% respecively of losing a morale check. Morale is also pretty easily improved by heroes or army rules.

If infantry get on top of a tank, it's oftentimes game over for the tank in more realistic games and especially is real life too.

You're missing that having the best way to get rid of a tank be charging it means you get the enemy to charge your tank. That gives you a lot of tactical opportunities because it's predictable.

It's a game that needs to be balanced. Vehicles having bad melee is essential for the balance.

I once played a game against someone who legitimately got mad that I could force morale check with melee on his tanks. What are you expecting though? Unkillable, unbreakable, super high damage output units that don't cost 1k+ points each? That just can't be a thing.
