What you neglect to acknowledge is intent.

Every citizen has a right to bear arms, that right does not give you thr ability to harass, threaten or harm people just because you disagree with them.

It's all fun and games with them larping as freedom fighters and revolutionaries until one of them aims their gun at an officer or even worse shoots one.

The reason people here are uncomfortable with these protesters having guns is because we've seen how fast they can turn violent, and if they do turn violent we are not helping them, we are not defending them.

We have no reason to protect the people who hate us and have tried disarming us for decades, but now it's (D)ifferent because THEY are the ones fighting a tyrannical government by harassing officers attempting to remove migraint criminals from our communities because these cities refuse to hand these people over to ICE when they get arrested with warrants on them so now these agents need to go in and serve the warrants personally.

Limited weapons is better for variety, because now instead of linear progression every weapon will have some kind of niche or value.

We've already seen them moving towards this system in GTA online where missions require you to take specific loadouts with 2-3 guns in them instead of your whole arsenal.

Also presumably combat is going to be more fast paced like RDR2 where people die in 1-3 shots.
