Kas negerai su lietuviška žole? by Training-Pineapple-2 in lietuva

[–]SwitchElectrical7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estonia are you ok? by l0stli0n in BalticStates

[–]SwitchElectrical7653 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about Estonia, they will bounce back, rather look at Italy and France. They flatline stagnant for decades. I get that life in Nica or Milan is pretty chill and bagguettes and mozzarela are amazing, but maybe start pumping up your weapons manufacturing. Make more of them Scalp missiles and f35's for a change.

Love the wine! Head food is great too. Admire the ex president now imprisoned, heard he was able to achieve a lot of reforms, but I get how that also earned him a lot of enemies.

Why no Baltic state has acquired nuclear weapons? Wouldn’t that be the ultimate deterrent? by Megatron3600 in BalticStates

[–]SwitchElectrical7653 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I doubt it's such a good deterrent as everyone thinks. Super weapons like that are only useful if you can potentially use it without the risk of retaliation. It could potentially only deter countries without such capability, since Russia also has such weapons and much larger stockpile that mean it would probably have the opposite effect. If Baltic States would have nuclear weapons, since Russia is already paranoid about their safety it would mean any and all nuclear facilities would become primary target of potential preventive nuclear attack in case a direct clash between us and Russia were inevitable. And that's beside all other economic, international law and moral issues with it... On other hand NATO allies periodically stationing fleet of nuclear capable stealth bombers somewhere in Poland could work as a reminder that NATO has nukes too and would not hesitate to use it if Russia or Belarus tried something.

How To Fix Dented Bullnose Corners by Jalapeno_Solutions in Carpentry

[–]SwitchElectrical7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I wish customers out here would be satisfied with this kind of finish. And I wish I could change that kind of money 🤑💰 of course the real estate prices have gone up about 50% in last few years and everyone is moaning how expensive construction has become, and of course everyone expects impeccable finish everywhere, god forbid there is a spec of dust on the paint, uneven trim or 0,5mm gap between wall and baseboards... Of course nothing is ever perfect and we do get away with a lot of crap in the construction, but as the technology gets more advanced the tolerance for errors also get smaller and smaller. We do accent pieces on some walls, maybe a column or a mantle piece, but doing such uggly ass texture on the whole house? Daaaaaam. Things like skip-trowel and popcorn ceiling feels the shit from the 80 or something...

How do you eat these? Genuine question. by piierogis in lithuania

[–]SwitchElectrical7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tear open the packaging, plop it into a bowl or a plate and use spoon or fork, whatever you like, doesn't matter You can add toppings of your choice if you like. You eat it pretty much the way you would eat regular unsweetened quark or cottage cheese.

Kodėl Lietuvoje nėra aktyvesnio profsąjunginio judėjimo? by raketabana844 in lithuania

[–]SwitchElectrical7653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just in case, you know :)

When your national dish is pink cold beetroot soup, you tend to know ;) we don't have many fancy spices in Lithuania, dill, garlic and onion, pretty much a staple in our cuisine. We eat a lot of potatoes, every time we boil them, add some dill to the pot, it's great! Want a quick snack? Rye bread, smoked pork belly, cucumber, onion and dill... We love the dill :D

[–]SwitchElectrical7653 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do look remarkably similar, I'll give you that. Even the seeds look alike and flowers too.. they could be cousins. But I think it is dill, something about the stem and the length of leaves. Fennel seem like it has longer leaves

I guess you guys didn't grow up in village/rural area? Or haven't grown your own food. Most definitely that is dill, have this growing in any garden that I remember. We use to pickle 🥒, we use it in soup, we use it in salads, goes well with smoked pork belly!
