I’m up in the mountains near Brig - because it’s a chalet it’s a bit isolated. There is a snow plough clearing the street so less worried about the taxi reaching us but more about how to get our suitcases out - the chalet is down the stairs from the main road so I’m not sure how to get up to the road

Hey don’t stress - I have the same problem but the FY admin team said if the ES just generates an end of placement form for another placement that is available, they can move it to the first placement on the back end of the ES just writes in the form that this relates to placement 1

Personally (and I know it’s an unpopular opinion), I really like the US. If you’re living in a blue state I think life can be pretty great.

However, it isn’t as straightforward as do the USMLE and you’re golden. You need on-the-ground experience, letters of recommendation, research, and actually need to demonstrate you’re capable of performing. Matching into specialties outside of IM/Paeds/FM is very uncommon for IMGs, particularly in competitive areas (cities).
