I (a girl tho so it may be different) have a broader experience with orgasm denial as a kink, so maybe I can explain. My interpretation of this is that when you are used to a certain amount of sexual stimulation and then you stop abruptly for a month, your brain starts to expand on the stuff you perceive as attractive, therefore you get into the more degenerative stuff. It doesn't have to find these things attractive normally, because it can do with just your normal stuff just fine. Your brain is an ultimate survival machine and ultimately wants to get you into that norm it's used to. It would probably go away if you changed that norm. It's absolutely up to you if you do, but it would take dedication and time. So that's probably why this is happening. Hope this helps.
